is there a compendium of all the lore?
dumimare
I want to start reading some of the guild wars lore and besides some bits and pieces on gw wiki, which seem to be incomplete... more like excerpts of a bigger story, I was unable to find any.
Is there anywhere a pdf/doc file with the entire lore of GW, nicely organized into chapters (Tyria, Cantha, Elona). I tried printing the bits on the wiki but i don't need the images, pasting the text only in a word document messes up the formatting, so I was wandering if anyone has a nice compendium of all the lore that is print-friendly.
Thanks.

Unfortunatly there isnt. There is just so much lore in the Guild Wars universe that its hard to compile it into one thing. You can find basic lore from Tyria, Cantha and Elona in the Manuscripts but everything else is through the GW Site and In-game.
If your really interested in the lore i would recommend looking through Druids Overlook using this thread and take a look over on GWO's Lore Forums.

Just a side note: The Lore from the Prima Guides is planned to be uploaded onto GWO this weekend, at which I will post a link (and probably just overall reformat the Archives) in the Archives of Guru.
I will probably post a link for every single thread in the GWO Archives, for more ease of Guru users to get to specific threads on GWO (some people don't like the layout of GWO, which is why they don't go over there).
On-Topic: As Free Runner said, there is no compilation of lore, and if there was, you'd probably be printing out about a hundred pages in total. Best you can do is to look through the Archives on both Guru and GWO, or to scavenge through the Category: Lore section of the official wiki (as the unofficial completely lacks in Lore compared to the official wiki).
Slightly Off-Topic Again:It would be nice if someone with a lot of time on their hands makes a compilation of all/most of the known lore (but that would take a lot of time). Aw Well.

Browse GuildWarsWiki as much as possible, do all the quests you find during your adventures in Tyria, lurk within the forums. These are the basic things you can do if you want to become a "lorist".
And of course, you must be interested in Lore in order to learn a great deal about it.

This stickied thread has all official lore documents in it, along with the "best" threads in this forum, and links to the archives of GWO's lore forum, and GW2G's lore forum. Aside from that, I suggest going to the official wikis (do not go to the unofficial wiki for lore, it's terribly off - too far off to bother correcting - unless someone did a massive overhaul last I saw) here and the GW2W is here and put in the search "Category: Lore" and "Category: Lore stubs" - those two categories hold all the lore articles, and the lore-related categories. Go through all those articles, and don't forget the articles in the categories within Category: Lore.
I and a few others have been making sure the official wiki articles are accurate to lore and up to date with them, and until the currently on-haitus gwlore encyclopia project is completed (if it is completed, which is not likely, to be honest), that's the best there is.
But if you want to know something specific, ask in the stickied Thread of No Topic, though it would be best to try to wiki what it is about.
