Hi all
Just wondering if anyone else has noticed that the in-game music levels between campaigns is inconsistent. Tyria is much quieter in volume than the other campaigns so when you adjust the volume manually and then travel to say Elona, the music is louder. Also when the "battle music" kicks in everytime there is a scrap, the sound level for that is way higher than the rest, so you end up constantly adjusting volume settings.
Also I read in a thread a while back the suggestion to have an option to turn the battle music off. This would be a great option to add. Maybe it could be added as a future tweak by those friendly devs ^ ^
Comments very much appreciated.
Thanks

I have noticed that some area's music is louder then others.
For instance, the music for Dragon's Lair mission is VERY low compared to others (however, I usually listen to iTunes while playing, in order to drown out the effect sounds *they annoy me, but I don't like having them gone, and in comparison to the music, they are always too loud*).
Prophecies does seem to be very queit, while Cantha in comparison is louder, not sure for EN or NF though, or the "battle music."

Its because of the newer sound system they added in nightfall. quiet music plays and gets louder/more intense the more aggro you get. Personally i hate it. I edited my directsong file to normalise the volumes of most tracks because i was sick and tired of adjusting my speaker volume during combat.

I just turn off all gw noises and listen to music.
If im not PvPing that is,i keep music off and put sound effects then.
Soo,i havent noticed.

With ambient tracks now frequently interrupted by constant battles - which are over rather quickly, resulting in interrupted battle music - I haven't bothered to listen to the in-game sounds anymore.
I did notice awhile ago though that the sound levels between NF and EotN seemed pretty different, with the latter having a lower volume.

Lift up hand to speakers control. Adjust volume.
Problem solved with minimal effort.

I've noticed how quiet the Prophecies soundtrack is in comparison to the rest. It sucks because I like it best, so I turn the sound level up for it but then the music drowns out the game fx in the other campaigns, so I have to readjust it or waste time trying to find a happy medium if I want to hear everything.

If you have DirectSong, you can modify the volume of each individual track by editing the ini file. Details are here:
