What should I do?
illidan009
I posted this in here instead of QnA b/c I thought it would fit better...
So my *best* friend doesn't play GW much anymore(logs on once every 3 months or so...) and I have his pw. I logged on today for the lulz and noticed that he has many b-day presents on his characters. So I opened them for him...and he got TWO mini Liches. O_O
Should I ask him to give me one? Sounds kinda lame but...meh.
Thanks for you help guys!

Unless your "Best Friend" is the kind of "Best Friend" that would, literally, bite your head off and spit it out for asking a question...why not just go and ask the "best Friend" instead of getting a public poll first?
slowerpoke
u opened his presents without asking?
Darcy
Ask away. If he no longer is interested in the game, he probably won't care. At least you didn't just swap one out. Shows some honesty.
But, yes, next time you should mention the presents before you open them. Three-quarters of the fun of presents is opening them.

No, you should ask him to give one of the Lich's to me.
Like people said already, just ask him. What's his reaction going to be when he discovers two mini Lich's in his inventory when there were previously none?

Striken7
Just ask.
A buddy of mine turned his account over to me after about a year and a half of not playing; I scored a mini Shiro and Gwen out of the deal, plus a permanent gate monkey.
Win-freakin-win.

Uhm well,if you already opened his presents with out asking him i guess it would be best to sell them soo he dosent log on and get mad because you opened them.
Luminarus
Ask him if hes ever coming back. If he says no then ask him if you can take em. If he says yes, then go swap em out :P. Just kidding, ask him coz if hes ur friend he either wont care or will let u, no downside.
fenix
Take both, lie about it. Or, take both and don't lie, since he doesn't play. Either way, you get 2 free minipets.
Cale Roughstar
Ask him, if he doesnt play, why would he care? If he says yes, then gogo, if he says no, well then there you go.
I stole a bunch of my cousin's minis, but he doesn't really care.

Take the mini pets, chances are he won't notice.

Well I don't know what his reaction will be when I opened his presents w/o asking him first, which is why I wasn't sure about asking in the first place. Although he knows I use his account sometimes to play the 2 pve professions I don't have on my main. Anyway thanks for the help guys! I'll bring it up next time he calls
And yes, he's my best friend IRL.

Wow. Just wow.
You must have a field day at Christmas, working the neighborhood. You get to find out what all your neighborhood kids get for Christmas before they get a chance to have fun on Christmas Day morning...
I guess it sucks to know you, eh!

Yes because opening a friends birthday presents in GUILD WARS which he doesn't even PLAY anymore is EXACTLY THE SAME THING AS BREAKING INTO PEOPLES HOUSES AND OPENING THEIR CHRISTMAS PRESENTS.
Jesus christ, do you even think before you post?

If he is a good friend you don't need a poll here. But be smart...Ask him if he minds that you maintain his account for him while he doesn't play anymore and be responsible for it as a real friend would. Then Trade him a lich for one of yours so he isn't completely screwed...be cool and set up his HoM for him.
Then register his account and make your MAT predictions on his account as well and get extra Zkeys....Give him a portion of the gold cut so he sees you are a good assett manager and give yourself a "management fee" of the keys. By the time he looks at his account again he will have a storage full of plat and you will have even more.

Pointless Thread. If you need the justification of complete strangers for a clearly and Completely illrelevant question then your ignorant IMO.

Wow GrimShade, a quick "how to get rich and make a friend happy" guide. But not bad advice.
@OP - if he is a RL good friend, tell the truth. Telling even small lies of omission to a friend is a great way to derail a friendship. The guilt gets to you after a while and you start avoiding your friend.

Lol @ Nightmare....fail of a post. If it's so pointless don't post stop getting +! it's pathetic.
I really hope Grunntar was being sarcastic...it seemed like he was. But if you're being srs...wow. Learn to separate reality from a game LOL.
The worst thing is that he'll be pissed and I won't get a mini pet in GW. So meh...w/e.
Thanks for all your opinions guys! Minus the douchebag +1s.
EDIT: Ohh yea forgot to mention he only has NF and factions...so no HoM worries for him.

As someone that has had multiple friends accounts since the introduction of mini-pets: take them and sell them. Their price has nowhere to go but down. If they want them back later, either bribe your friend, or bite the bullet and rebuy the pets at a profit.

AAAAAAAAAHHHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHAHAHAHAH AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Oh wow, thanks for that - I haven't laughed that hard in a long time.
OT: I tend to agree with Reverend Dr.

Closing thread as
a) Sharing accounts is against the EULA & TOS, and Guru doesn't support activities that do such.
B) We can't help you decide whether your friend would mind you taking or asking him for something on his account, only you can answer that question.
C) Before this thread degenerates any further than it already has.
