Not sure where to put this so feel free to re-direct it.

There's a guy who's willing to buy golds from (Other Game) from me, in exchange for golds in GW. I said i'll have to check the rules first (which i have no clue where it's at) if it's legal or not. Some say that it's a breach of ToS if real money is involve, but this does not. If any suggestions or any answers to this question or the site that tells the rules about this, would be appreciated. Thanks alot.

Mmm,theres a rule against selling gw gold, and a rule that you cant buy out of game things with gold..but a trade from game to game....i dont think there's any rule directly against it,but i wouldnt advise it.

"You may not advertise the intent to or commit the act of buying, selling, trading, sharing, or transferring access to any Guild Wars account for real-world cash or for in-game gold or items."

If I understand it correctly, if I give gold to the person from that other game in exchange for gold in GW, it's considered illegal? Sorry my understanding of english is not so bright at times.

Yes it is against the terms of service and so *illegal* as you put it.

Best way to think of it is this, if you question whether its illegal in game or not it more then likely is.

If any part of the trade takes place outside the game, it's not allowed.

If real money is involved then steer clear. Best option is to report them to Anet so they can take affirmative action.
