Bad Names?

Well yeah. I have that problem... My first characters name is G E Benitez (short for Gabriella Elizabeth Benitez) and she has like tons of titles and stuff but her name is really uncreative and sucky. :[ I like people commenting on my name. ;_;

So yeah, who else has good characters with bad names that you just can't delete/do over?

There should SO be a name changer...

And it should cost like 100k or so.

And I like all my chars names.

Characters with names I want to change?

Assassin, Paragon, Elementalist, Mesmer. Dervish and Ranger are questionable.

I wouldn't mind changing all my character's names to match my Ritualist's, that is Xaphan ______ (As my Ritualist's name is Xaphan Sariel). Well, all but my Necromancer, I love his name.

Until they add a name changer, people will have to find a group of people to /report their characters' names and suffer a 3 day ban per character. I'm tempted to do so. Less punishment then 100k.

I think name changes should be 25k+Ascension+lvl 20+KoaBD(that is, minimum of 5 maxed titles) OR 50k+lvl20+Ascension. 100k is too much for a lot of people I know.

If you get a 3 day ban, you get a name change? O_O

I made the mistake of giving one of my avatars a real-sounding female name. Bad idea. Doing so means that it gets hit on by creeps all the time.

Yeah, I'd pay 100K to change her name. Is Pussy Galore taken? (Hey, it's from a Bond movie!)

what about alota (v)fagina( its from austin powers mmk?) well seriously im pretty happy by most of my chars, though i wish i could change my para's name Touched By balthzar, i named him to sound as he got power from balthzar, but i failed to notice the actual sexual reference. so i wish i could change his name, but meh.

Name changer would be good,problem is people could use it to get out of getting banned/ect.

IMO if you were able to change your name it would have to be 100k+ can only change once,and dont make it easy to do.

I like all my characters names. I put some thought into them before I created them. I don't agree with a name changer i'm afraid. Although as long as it's a one off thing that costs an exhorbitant price I'm ok with it. I just know it would get super confusing on your friends list if someone changes their name every other day. I get confused about who's who as it is.

@dilan155. Get someone to report you and if you're willing to put up with the temp ban Anet will make you change it....Just an idea. Or you could write to support yourself and tell them you now see the name as inappropriate and they might let you change it.

What if you can only change names on accounts that have been restitered under the Xunlai House that way Anet can still find accounts in need of banning i dont know if thats possible tho

my first character was X Cytherea X , a necromancer. yeah, same as my forum name. i named her after a pr0n star, back when i was a perverted teenager. she had some nice 15k Prophecies armors and some green necro weapons.

but i realized how ridiculous and noobish her name looked (lol, a necro named after a pr0n star! and that silly XnameX format, ffs!) ...and deleted her.

my second character was Shinde Kudasai. her name is fitting for an assassin. i love playing her and have stuck with her ever since.

The "Delete Character"-button fulfills my name-changing needs.

Just think of a good name in the first place, i'm good with those, just pm me if you need ideas lol.

My main is named Zhuo Yu, which was great when I started (naming my characters after Dynasty Warriors). Now I (sort of) wish I could change it, but life goes on.

Before Anet decides to add more stuff to the game, they should focus on balancing and fixing the rest of it.
If they were to add a name changer, they'd probably make it so you could re-name your character, but it'd be completely random on the name you get and you wouldn't be able to choose a different name yourself.

It would be nice, but meh, it'd probably just be another screw up.
