Hi, this's my first topic here. . .

It's said that you can let your henchies kill everything and leave the boss by flagging henchies away ; the green drop rate will be the same like soloing boss. Is this true ? I'm gonna try using my necro to get rajazan's fervor, cuz i don't have R/N or a good sin.

I'm sure someone had asked this before but due to my poor English skill I was unable to find it. Anyone can help me pls ? Thanks for all comments

As long as the henchmen's names are greyed out in your party window you don't have to worry about them stealing drops. So yeah, it is true.

Yes, as Senrath says, this is true but it can be quite difficult to get your henchies to NOT attack and kill the boss!

I use the hero flagging technique to farm totem axes from the root behemoths in The Falls. Its very quick and easy.

Are you quite sure this is true? I was under the impression that ever since loot scaling was implemented, whether someone was greyed out or not didn't matter at all - you got the same share as if you were in a full party.

Unless you mean only the items, exempt from loot scaling?

At the time of implementation, Gaile outright stated that taking a larger party to bypass loot scaling wouldn't work. They have to be available to receive drops (ie, within compass range) to bypass some of the loot scaling.

Hence, if they're out of range, drops get reduced as per loot scaling rules. With greens exempt from loot scaling, then yes, flagging heroes and henchmen out of range will ensure that the green drops only for you, if it drops at all.

greens and gold drops aren't affected by loot scaling, neither are event items and a few others,...

To put it another way - a boss has a fixed percentage chance of dropping a green. When it drops, it would be assign randomly to someone in the party (that's in range). But, if the H&H are flagged away, if it drops, it drops for you.
I can attest to the fact that this works - I've gotten many greens that way, and also while 600/smite'ing.

indeed, the amount of loot dropped doesnt change, however if h/h are out of range it increases the chances of you getting the drop (green)

H/H drop rates for drops if they are in compass range. Just to clear it up. Also, to get ur henchies to not kill the boss, pinging makes them all attack what you just pinged.
