Hi guys,

I've been looking at minipet prices and I noticed that many undead ones are cheap. What do they mean when they are "unded petz"??? Are they zombie versions of the things?

'undead' is a misspell for 'unded' which is short for 'undedicated'. when you gain a mini, you can take it to your Hall of Monuments and dedicate it to one of the tapestries there (Monument of devotion if i remember correctly).
minis can be traded and displayed regardless of if they are dedicated or undedicated but can only be dedicated to one persons HoM.
undeds are generally more valueable than deds.
any other info can be found here

As was stated above, unded minis are more valuable than ded ones, because they can only be dedicated once. Therefore, your observation that unded ones are cheap should be the other way around: ded minipets are way cheaper than unded ones.

While undedicated minis do indeed cost more than dedicated, there's a good reason why the OP thought the other way around.

Many players seem to sell lower end minis like used cars, enumerating all of their highlights. In contrast, most players who are selling more expensive minipets, say 30k or up (excluding people selling minis at hideously high prices such as Rurik/Shiro for 30k...) seem to think their market is more aware and more knowledgeable, and simply the nature of a rarer good makes people more willing to drop a whisper and ask if it's dedicated and get talking, something unlikely to happy for a 1-2k purchase of a Jungle Troll because they're so commonly sold.

Its true that most people selling low end minis tend to emphasize the fact that they are undedicated, however I think its a strange comment to make (from the OP from earlier) that he/she is seeing enough undedicated pets at low prices to make him/her think that these pets are actually lower in value. I say this because yes I understand that people with a higher knowledge of the market may not state the dedication state of the pet to draw in people and try to cut a deal, however I think its safe to say that the majority of people do state whether or not it is ded/unded in the original post because the value of the pet completely depends on it, no matter if the pet is high/low end.

That being said, Id assume that the person who stated they are seeing so many unded pets for low prices is most likely shopping around in cities dominated primarily by newbies where people try to sell what they can to all of the noobs at great deals to themselves. Try going to Kamadan where a lot of those high end minis get trafficed, and I guarantee you will not get confused about whether ded/unded is worth more money.
