You can buy runes of an attribute (from the Rune Trader at any town) and apply them to any piece of your armor to give extra points to such attributes, regardless of the campaigns you have. You can't apply runes of your secondary professions.
Also, you can buy headpieces with a +1 to (attribute) from armor crafters.
The runes aren't stackable and give up to +3 to any of your primary profession's attributes, with a penalty. The headpiece (+1) is stackabale and if you use both you can have a +4 boost in a given attribute.
Note that it's not usually very good to be carrying several hp penalties from your runes in most PvE/PvP situations.

There are other boosts floating around. Skills such as Expert's Dexterity or Glyph of Elemental Power, boost some attributes by an stackable amount. Blessings from the gods statues (only Factions, NF and EoTN) can also do this. Consumables such as Golden Eggs give also a stackable amount.
