Nightfall's Lesser/Greater Skins - Lesser Skin's Crafter?
Gattsu05
Dunno about anyone else but I'm tired of having to explain to some players that there are some items with the same name but a different skin. I think items with different skins should clearly have different names to them such as the many sets of NF daggers.
What I'd like to see is the Lesser skins available to be crafted. Maybe add the lists to the crafters in Sunspear Sanctuary and Gunner's Hold.
EDIT:
Feel free to explain why you voted "yes" or "no."
2nd Edit:
Now while a complete overhaul of skins would be great my goal was to be more realistic and only make a minor change to the game that they could implement very easily. You have to keep in mind GW is not p2p so Anet wouldn't likely put so many resources behind developing new skins on that level.

Hm... what should be done is a rework of the naming system.
Currently there are some skins that have multiple names, and some names that are used for multiple skins. Examples:
- Cleaver: Used for two skins.
- Fire Staff: Used for many skins.
- Steel Daggers: Three skins with the same name. Each one appearing only at a certain rarity, they should drop with all rarities, and be renamed to Lesser Steel Daggers, Steel Daggers and Greater Steel Daggers.
This skin:
- http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Image...r_(tyrian).jpg : Used for two axes weapons with different names (Battle Axe, Cleaver).
- http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Image:Short_Sword.jpg : Used for Rin Blade and Short Sword.
* EACH SKIN should have ONE SINGLE NAME.
* EACH NAME should be used for ONE SINGLE SKIN.

Items such as Steel Daggers, Ancient Daggers, Dark Scimitars, Highlander Blades, etc, have different skins. Steel and Ancient daggers are dependent on rarity - Blue = Lesser, Gold = Greater, and Purple = regular.
Here are examples:

This thread is about wanting to be able to craft the lesser skins, or the "blue" versions of the Ancient/Elonian/Steel Daggers, Lesser Dark Scimitar, etc.

Craft them were?
Gattsu05
As the first post says, in Gunnar's Hold (in Eye of the North) and Sunspear Sanctuary (in Nightfall)
wind fire and ice
Wouldnt hurt to be able to craft lesser steel dags since there awesome and hard to find, otherwise this is pointless.

Hm... although I think that crafters should have different skins in different regions, lesser skins are usually related only to certain weapons (most of them are daggers and swords).
That won't be very fair. I like most when everyone gets something.
But It would be nice if instead just one skin set for all crafters in Prophecies, one for all crafters in Factions and one for all crafters in Nightfall, each region (Ascalon, Kryta, Maguuma, Crystal Desert, Shiverpeaks, Ring of Fire Islands, Shing Jea, Kaineng, Kurzick, Luxon, Istan, Kourna, Vabbi, Desolation, Torment) had their own skin set related to the theme of the region.

iirc, the skins available at crafters could use a massive overhaul anyway (more variety in caster weapon skins, please! It took until Nightfall to see any variation at all...).

I voted no because, I, for one, don't like just about every lesser, or even the greater, of many of these weapons. Also, the lesser/greater stuff seems to be stuck with attacker profession weapons (i.e., swords, axes, daggers, scythes, spears, hammers, bows).
Although, I'm all for crafting weapons, and I think different regions should get different skins (instead of all having the same skins), and I think all (from every campaign) should be inscribable. Along with that, I favor the lesser/great idea, just not many of the skins (especially those in NF).
I /sign for more crafters. I /sign for more variety of craftable weapons. But I /notsign for crafters for only lesser weapons of the weapons which have lesser/regular/greater status.

Yup.
With prophecies and factions, they had one skin per campaign becasuse there were not many skins.
Now there are hundreds! So one skin per campaign won't harm anyone, specially since those crafters would make items with just common rarity.

/not signed to renaming the skin -
Reason: they are all steel daggers (from the steel daggers link) and the whites one have crappier looking skin (as in they look like a rush job, and after refining it they become the Gold one) where as the gold ones have better more refined looking skins (subject to taste and aesthetic views) the point is the skin are different because they are white/blue, purple, gold but still they are all steel daggers, it make total sense, when I tell someone, look this is my Gold max dmg bla bla Steel Daggers and it should have look different then a normal white steel daggers. Another instance: Ancient Daggers, the Gold ones have "pattern" skin now you can't have that for the White one as well, since it's, well white! and it makes total sense that the Gold one are the more refine looking ones, like more care has been put into in then just a normal white ancient daggers.
/Signed for making all Gold Weapons only inscriptible (spelling) from the above renaming weapons "idea" it made me realise that gold weapons should all be inscriptible.
/Sign for crafter idea in general, ie: what Azazel Says:"I /sign for more crafters. I /sign for more variety of craftable weapons."

I'm surprised so many people are against the option to craft lesser weapons.

I think you miss the point of my post. I want items like Steel daggers to have clearly defined names for the skins. Lesser Steel for the blue type skin(as in PvP) Steel Daggers for the uncommon purple type skin and Greater for the Gold type skin.
