PvE Sin HM Setup

Hi

This is what my sin runs in HM:




And this is the heroes i normally use:



and




So everything is fine, but because monster AI makes them flee from AoE dmg (SH ele) - i thought i needed some kind of snare or whatever.

So my choice stands between these two heroes (having 2 x Ancestors and Splinter is amazing with a Scythe wielding melee)

Which would you recommend?

Since it's between those two eles, I would pick the snarer.. so they can't flee so easy from AoE.

If I may come with my personal opinion (disregard this if you really don't care), run a VoR mesmer with splinter(VoR is good because it's armor ignoring, AoE... I'm just sure it will put out more dmg than what that ele of yours could), prot monk (rc) (always handy when you usually go in first and preferably want to stay alive mor than 2 secs it takes for some enemies to take you down, and no I don't think xinrae's wep is enough to reduce the dmg) and a necro (Usually tend to switch elite from corrupt ench (so you can rip thos annoying enches of enemies that you need to take down fast) or icy veins)

But that doesnt help with the "flee from aoe" thing :/

Actually Nuking in HM is pretty bad because of high armored foes.

What you want is armor-ignoring damage aka SS, SV, VoR, Empathy, Splinter weps.

And snaring melee is not necessary, you want Aegis chain, guardian, block stance. this will stop melee.

Enfeebling blood is a must.

Since ur running with sabway, u got a minion bomber, and SS, but on their bar they should also somewhere have a copy of splinter. That means u got 2 splinters +1 a-rage. U also got weakness covered on their SS. So thats my assumptions for what I am going to say.

1 - Change ur first ele for an earth one:

Unsteady Ground, Churning Earth, Ward Against Melee, Splinter Weapon, A-Rage, Earth Attunement, Optional, Death Pact Signet. I Like eruption for the AoE blind, but its really an optional slot. That has "snares" due to 5 seconds of knocklock for basically all foes in side it, due to computer AI of auto attacking once standing up. Also churning kd's all moving HM foes.

Final hero... up to you. As armor is so great in HM, I would SERIOUSLY consider a VoR mesmer because it can do large aoe armor ignoring damage, + carry interupts easily. Can help a lot in groups with 2 monks.

so whats so spetial about this? Pair of standard bars, and you cant choose between two horrible ones, wtf? Also can anyone tell me how those skillbars work?
