Faction rewards doubled in Explorables!!!

I was delighted to discover this evening that the Kurzick / luxon faction rewards for kills in explorables has been doubled!!! Instead of 5 faction in Normal mode & 10 in Hard mode, now it's 10 & 20! Too bad the boss bonus isn't doubled.

Definitely a pleasant stealth update.

Edit: They haven't doubled the bonus for boss kills. (yet?)

Anyone done the maths on how long it'd take to get various titles via farming with this update?

I think it's going to depend on where you're vanquishing. But, I've been clearing Pongmei Valley with H/H in 30 minutes or so, getting roughly 4,000 faction per run (in HM). So, starting from zero points:

4,000 X 2 = 8,000 faction per hour, X 2 (donated faction) = 16,000 title points per hour. 10,000,000 / 16,000 = 625.2 hours*

A lot less than what the above guy said because donating focation for amber etc is gonna be buffed (text says its buffed but it isn't yet) to be even higher (amber is 5,000 faction given, etc)

In addition to the rest of the real changes, it will go by a lot quicker.

In Pogmei you have around 150 enemies (depending on pop-ups) + 4 bosses. It gives roughly 2500 not 4000. Or are there any quests which increase number of enemies/bosses there? I do not recall any. If not your calculation have to be revised....

Just done some quick calculations using the "average number of monsters per region" data on the vanquishing wiki page. If you vanquish all of the kurzick and luxon areas you'll get 34440 (plus boss bonuses) kurz and 31820 (plus boss bonuses) luxon faction now that it's 20 faction per kill. While this is a welcome and useful increase, it's still a blip on the total as you'd have to vanquish all the regions some 140-150 times (assuming you donate to the alliance to get double faction reward) to get 10 mill. I'm sure Linsey has some more faction updates up her sleeve and we'll find out what they are soon.

I have this title, obtained with HFFF.
Considering 45 min. for 10k faction which turn in 20k if you donate, the math says 375 hours, which easily become 400 hours considering that you take breaks, chat with someone and so on.

If you do it let's say 3 hours per day, which in my opinion is the borderline to keep or lose your mental sanity, this means more than 4 months.
In my case, it took more than 8 months.

Luxon and Kurzick titles are simply wrong, the amount of points is tuned having a PvP title in mind.
Doubling the amount of faction gained is nothing.

They should require 160.000 points as EotN titles and be character based, so that they could be achievable vanquishing areas, in no more than 30-35 hours like all others.
Of course in this case repeatable quests should be removed.

If the update really changes amber/jade/scrolls from 1k to 5k (title) and the rest of the options follow this then:

Max Title = 10,000,000

===Before Update===
Jade/Amber/Scroll: Each 1 gets you 1,000 to title
Skills: Each 1 gets you 3,000 to title
Donation: Donating 5,000 gets you 10,000. Donating 10,000 gets you 20,000.

===After Update=== (I times each by 5 as they seem to have done with Amber/Jade)
Jade/Amber/Scroll: Each 1 gets you 5,000 to title
Skills: Each 1 gets you 15,000 to title
Donation: Donating 5,000 gets you 50,000. Donating 10,000 gets you 100,000.

===Maxing before the update===
Get 10,000 Jade/Amber/Scrolls (10mil / 1k = 10k)
Get 3333 Luxon/Kurzick skills (10mil / 3k = 3.3k)
Donate 10k 500 times (10mil / 20k = 500)
Donate 5k 1,000 times (10mil / 10k = 1000)

===Maxing after the update===
Get 2,000 Jade/Amber/Scrolls (10mil / 5k = 2k)
Get 666 Luxon/Kurzick skills (10mil / 15k = 666)
Donate 10k 100 times (10mil / 100k = 100)
Donate 5k 200 times (10mil / 50k = 200)

So still fairly hard to get, but its no longer stupid. Good change if my maths is correct (I suck @ maths so prob wrong lol)

This update will only affect people playing through the campaign for the first few times, or trying to vanquish areas.

If you want the track maxed, HFFF is still the optimal route.

It appears that the only thing that's changed on the redeeming end of things (cashing in faction) is that they raised the cost of jadite/amber.*

* EDIT: It appears that the jadite/amber part of the thing isn't quite finished as of this writing. It's still 1k per chunk & 1k applied to the title track.

Sweet. Now, if only they would boost the reward for Duel of the Houses by 50 to 100%, it would be competitive with HFFF speed-wise, while encouraging people to actually play for their Kurzick Faction. It would also be difficult to bot that quest, given some of the random factors like popup Oni, so they could even nerf HFFF to put a stop to botting without harming the rest of us.

I don't care. Ten million to max out the faction is still insane IMHO. I have too much of a real life to spend weeks or months grinding out faction.
