The reason they seem disfigured is because you are making them too tall and thin so then its stretches out everything else.

You have a good eye for details, and your expressions seem "alive". Juts gotta work more on the proportions; there are many guides on the internet on how to draw a human body.
Keep up the good work!

I love em!
I think the tall approach makes them look rather awesome. Might i ask if you do commissions?
Edit: As a general rule, i've heard that for proportions, Head = 1 head. Body = 2 Heads. And Legs = 3 heads. (For height at least.)

google human proportion in art or something, it comes up with loads of stuff. you can learn how to do it when you practice after such rules. you can also use a reference picture.

One of the best ways to improve is to find some great artists that you admire, and emulate their work. Study the lines, coloring, perspective, etc. It takes a lot of practice and determination, but you will improve with time. It looks like you have a good start.

Study anatomy. Cut down on the insecurity lines. The colours are the only thing in that drawing which distinguish the different parts of armour.

If I were qualified to give advice I'd start by suggesting that you try working on white paper instead of note cards ^________^
Next, I'd say that it's hard to emulate an artist that works in manga style because it somewhat distorts a classical study of proportions, and is not the foundation on which you want to develop yourself, artistically.
If you want to draw figures, whether it be realism, fantasy, or anime, you must start with a classical study of proportions and then stylize from there. It becomes easier to skew and simplify details after you already know what must be there to begin with.
