Mad King Lag

i heard last year ppl were able to join 2 mad king parties by going to a low end am. dist then switching to a high end eu. dist.
is there any truth in this? got any details?

It is possible but tricky due to Anet attempting to sync the arrival in each district. You dont even need to change servers - just hit a low district and then once its over head to higher districts. Its rather useful when there are two hats to get and you want them in one run.

However watch out: Finale Appearences dont work in districts created after the arrival deadline. So dont aim to high.

ya you can do that, only reason is to get both hats in one appearance.

It's not really possible anymore, recent events have ended up syncing most of the starting times for finales. However, going from LA to Kamadan might be a different story, sometimes there's an offset.

If u need sweets i suggest farming grawls or just killing things in the plains I understand what your going threw i did it myself. But like was said before It's best to start in Lion's arch and then to Kamadan to make both appearances to recieve both hats

forgot about the grawls, cheers. have been doing the skele rangers outside bergon hotsprings but, after about ten mins theres less foes and they drop less. so, yeah, wheres best place to start from for grawls?

of just do costume brawl 5 tot bags for a win, and its not like its hard. Just play your best charecter and you should get quite a few wins.

First to answer your question. Yes is was possible last year. I have both hats in one appearance. That said I needed to be in D1 to start and then I changed to District 30 something. The trouble is getting INTO D1 to start with. This might take you 3 hours at peak times so really this was stupid on my part.

I would suggest just going to where ever you want to go and get the one hat and then just go farm ToT bags and then come back and get the other hat. Less of a waste of time.

On the second part where to farm the ToT bags. ANY MOB will do. However try and figure out what Foe drops more of an item that can be traded or something like that.

Example. Find a mob that drops Charr Carvings. For every 3 carvings you pick up you will get one festival item thus maximizing your profits since every foe drops ToT bags. If you can find a foe that is known to only drop a few items and DYES then you greatly increase your chances for obtaining that rare Black Dye.

With more people farming your chances go up. So far I have gotten well over 150 dyes. I will admit that over 30 of them have been brown but 1 Black and 1 white and almost 300 ToT bags. That's nothing to sneeze at.
