Desert Teleporters

i just want my H/H to activate the lights of the teleport switches when i flag them on the tele pad. this way i won't have to rotate my camera to some wierd angle and possibly miss the proper order of the activation switches. sometimes it's a pain in the ass to actually see which ones activate and in which order when i have to hop on there with that arch in the way.
just for clarification: I DON'T WANT THE H/H TO ACTUALLY ACTIVATE THE TELEPORTER AT ALL. i just want the lights to pop on when the H/H are on the tele pad.

That's just laziness! It doesn't take long to position your camera and it's pretty obvious when it reaches the repeat point...
Ever play Guitar Hero?
But yeah it would be handy if heroes/henchies could pick up or click on objects in-game, like dungeon keys or other items which need to be carried/dropped in a mission

May as well ask to have the heroes and hench play your character for you as well. I don't see a need for this, but I do see it making lazy people do even less. If it was hard to do, maybe, but it is a very simple thing to do, so don't be lazy.

You didn't understand. He means that H/H should trigger the lights that show the order you have to follow when you activate the pods, not to make the H/H activate the pods.
At least I hope so, otherwise the suggestion would be quite silly, since H/H can only follow, attack and stand in a flagged spot, and adding more functionalities would be a waste of time.
There are many other things in the game that activate when Heroes enter if flagged there. Why not this?

That's actually a very nice solution since finding the right angle sometimes really is tricky!

I can live with the idea of making heroes/hench trigger the lights to activate while standing on the pad. I'll change to a /sign, and apologize for my confusion.

/signed for the fact that this is a win idea. They are meant to be people so it would make perfect sense to have things react to them as such.

I was first on the inside looking out now after reading 3 times I am on the outside looking in
My only hesitation is this may be on the same mechanic that allows characters to activate shrines. This would open an exploit for players. No need for a runner since I could just kill myself and play a hero set up runner to activate the shrine closer to where I want to go.

Did I read that right? he wants the H/H to activate the switches? Hmmm......not liking that idea. There are occasions that I really don't want a gate opened right away...I know were talking the teleporters in the desert, but if they are activating those, then they will be opening gates as well, and I really dont like the idea of that. Now i say, Just get rid of the darn arches! Those arches have been a complaint of mine from the first time I ran across one of those blasted teleporters.

Remember the cycle of lights that shows you the order you must follow when turning on the light pods in order to activate the teleporter?
He wants Heroes to trigger that cycle when they stand in the teleporter, NOT to switch on the pods themselves, so you can activate the pods while the heroes stand in the teleporter.
OP should update the first post to state that, though.

I dealt with the teleporters a long time ago, way before any of the new things came up for this game. It took me a couple of strain minutes before I figured out the function of the teleporters and what I can do about it. I came out just fine the way it was and I don't think it's necessary to do anything about them. Just use your wits and you'll come out just as fine as I did.

I have wished for this many times all while cursing and trying to find the right angle.

Even after his update, I still dont like the idea.

You can do that with allies. It's not much different to when Heroes get environment effects like those at the Torment or those in the waters at Maguuma.
