So I have a black dyed bandana. My toon doesn't wear it all the time so I keep it in storage.
Finding it is a real annoyance. The black bandana blends in wonderfully with the black background of the inventory window and I often find myself mousing over each square on each pane in storage and on my toon looking for wear I put it.
Would it be possible to add a white outline to storage icons for items like this when they're dyed black so that they can be easily seen?

I agree, I think I have honestly lost my black bandana I have no idea where it is.

Same thing happened to my Mask of the Mo Zing. Thought I lost it and when I found it again, I dyed over it with a mix of green and purple. Looks black to me and the inventory icon has a red to it so I can see it. (Guildie told me about this. He also said a mix of blue and orange works.)

Yup. Icons could have a little 2..5 pixel border that takes the color of the background behind it, inverse that color, then gray it to make it have only grayscale colors.
That way, if the background is dark, the border is light, if the background is light, the border is black.

How do you lose track of items like that, unless you're not a very organized person?
Regardless, items shouldn't be able to be misplaced like that. A border or something would be cool.
