Hey all! I know that during on-line play anti-viruses slow down your speed and ppl can lag. Will my comp get infected if I play gw without anti-vir?I am just curious about it...I have COMODO and Super antiware on all the time...
Thanks!

are you d/ling all sorts of junk?

are you visiting all sorts of seedy sites?

are you d/l all sorts of junk and running the .exe files?

-for the most part..that is where/how you'll get infected. although there are some rare cases..

-it's always good to use protection. with an AV proggie configured correctly, you shouldn't see too much of a performance hit. (at least not to much of one with a decent rig/connection)

as long as all ur doin is playin gw
then u should be fine

@flubber
i dun think it makes sense to dl while playin gw, and then aks if turnin off ur av will speed up performance
obviously turning off the dl would improve performance lol

but yea, while u dl/browse, have em on
while u game, off

if in doubt...
first turn off all other unnecessary background processes
and then u can turn off ur av

but personally wit gw
i doubt u'd see that much of a performance increase (depending on ur system)

Avira AV and avast won't slow down your gaming at all, you can safely leave them on.
