I really like the zombie one but the wolf one is a bit lame, it just doesn't look halloweeny. In my opinion they should have done skeleton, reaper's hood or a vampire one, something halloweeny. What do you guys think/ what would you have prefered to see.

They are both great looking masks. I especially like the face paint and the way it allows the facial features to show through.

oh, i didn't notice that it allows the facial features to show through, this is interesting, maybe can be stack on top of the ranger mask or something if arena net developed it more. ey.

you know like this of the sims 2 game. an overlay tattoo. which would open up the possibility of having 2 item on the head gear slots ... just a thought

overall, nice masks, however, after 3 years and trying to think of ways to get more storage space, additional masks does not thrill me anymore, but good work arena net.

Well the zombie one is nice, but werewolf is crap, a reapers hood would have been unbelievably awesome, like what a derv has but for everyone.

At second glance the zombie facepaint was a real treat.
After work (-_-*zzz) I look forward to spawning ti on more of my characters

Lupine... meh. Shoulda been a waxy candle skull hat... Theres not really any wherewolves in planet Tyria. Maybe it just looked bad on my female paragon... I hate to say it but it might look better on a char with fuller chest/neck armor like a male ranger or warrior.

But who cares about a mask WE WANT MAD KING SAYS

Haven't seen the masks ingame yet, but they look pretty good to me. Werewolves are "Halloweeny" btw. The reaper's hood would be cool IF they included the skeleton face.

God noones ever happy about new stuff. Its just sad. 'waah the masks are lame, boohoo the masks are bleh' is just a crap thing to say to someone whos being nice to you.

Anet already has your money, folks, and they owe you nothing. We're lucky they give enough of a damn to put a new ANYTHING in the game at all, especially when its always greeted with that kind of crap.

Thanks ANET for the stuff, its fun. The masks look great, both of them.

Currently in the process of AFKing for the Kamadan one.
BUT the LA one seems pretty decent - it seems to fit the face nicely.

The zombie face paint mask is really nice, great detail and subtly made. The werewolf one is less impressive however, it's nicely modeled and fits the character well but it's a bit of a weird color choice for the skin and doesn't look nearly ferocious enough for my liking. Black hair with burning red/yellow eyes would have been my choice.

Not complaining though. More content for free from ANet is not to be sniffed at.

I started getting dissapointed after the 2006 Dragon Festival, you get used to it.

But I'm not upset with these masks, they're a lot better than last years, that for sure.

the zombie mask is awesome! it looks like they made a version for every face type... that is more work than they have done for most other masks... and you don't have the effect of going bald.

I hope they use this "face paint" idea for other masks... the wolf mask is good too

I have a necromancer with gray skin. The Zombie makeup will look great on her.

Halloween is about spirits and the dead, are werewolves dead? Where i'm from monsters and such aren't really a part of halloween unless they have relevance like frankenstein. When you think halloween I guarantee you will not think of a werewolf first.

Actually in a lot of literature, Werewolves (or Lupins) are seen as the daytime protectors of Vampires, so they have an undead connection

Halloween is about a LOT of things, Werewolves, Zombies, Witches, Vampires, Mummies and ALL kinds of monsters fit in with the theme of Halloween.

Saying anything else is being needlessly pedantic.

If I want a Hood I'll dye ANY Dervish Head armor black.

Agreed. I like them both and I appreciate the effort it takes to put interesting things like this in the game. Keeps things fresh. I just can't stand the negative attitudes these days. You could drop Random High End Loot Bags like candy during an event and people will bitch that they only got a requirement 9 crystalline sword and they HATE the skin. Uh OK, GG.

Actually, they'd whine and bitch that their req 9 crystalline isnt worth a stack of ecto anymore, due to oversupply. Much like the whining and bitching over the VS Farm.

Finally got the werewolf one also. It's really disproportional.
Not a fan.
