The guy was adament on using the CNTRL and clicking on the ping meter. Just passing this out there for those to be wary of anything possible on it. Tested it with a friend in a seperate group and nothing showed up on his end when I did it, So it seems odd that the guy would be so adament on it.

Ofcourse theres a possiblity of me missing something else but just putting it out there.

He probably thought you could CTRL+click it and tell people your FPS and ping, like you can only features...so what #2 said.

ya you would be better off posting that screen shot on talkingtonoobs.com
because whoever was asking for the ping is obviously a bit short on sense.

If you hold CTRL and do an action, you 'ping' that action into the team chat. For example, if you hold CTRL and attack a certain foe, the team chat would say: 'I'm attacking blabla!', or if you hold CTRL and use the skill Phoenix, the team chat would say: 'I'm using Phoenix!'. I guess that person wanted you to CTRL click your connection status to see if it pings that too. I'm not sure it does. In any case, how is CTRL + clicking something on your screen going to result in somebody else hacking you...

Such as that yes its possible to read what is in peoples packets. Not sure exactly what can be said about it though. Other that they asked a few questions regarding the Mad King to begin with then after the event asked for help with a quest. Then while I was helping with the quest he had asked for a free scythe even though he had BMP( so its not like he was a newb to the game) then asked for 3k claiming he needed money when I said no that I didnt give freebies out like that, then said about losing the ping meter. Thats when he started insisting on using the CNTRL and click the ping meter.

Like I said it was just something that set an alarm off. Little things.

Such as that even though he was asking for money I had told him he could have all drops yet he wasnt picking them up even after I redropped the stuff for him.

Annoying little prick! usually when I help someone with quests/missions if they start to ask for stuffs i would quickly complete the quest/mission and leave the party.

Ctrl+clicking the ping meter does nothing. Nothing in the ping meter is even important, so it definitely wasn't a hacking attempt

I think you're just really paranoid.

Seeing as this thread is flooded with silly replies and that's all it will get, I'll close this now.
