I installed PC Probe II from my asus disk
and it says my Motherboard temperature is awfully high around 60 degrees
is this a software or hardware problem?

Mmm, I've heard from a few friends that there was something wrong with the program, it was giving bad readings. Do you know the model number of your motherboard?
To really see what temp it's running at you'd need to go through your BIOS, and check it there. You could also download speed-fan. I'd also suggest checking for an update to the PC Probe program to see if it's been fixed or not on the main website.
Edit: 60C or 60F btw?
