GoTY Edition...

I want to buy another Prophecies Account, preferably the Game of the Year Edition. I was wondering is it possible to but the GoTY items on my main account and then put the Prophecies key on a different account?

Yeah it is one key per account. So your GoTY account will have all the bells and whistles. Your first account if you meet all of the requirements will be able to get those bells and whistles if you pay a small fee to A-Net.

So your saying I can only get the GoTY items through in-game store for my main account? Because I'd rather just buy GoTY edition game from my local gamestore, add GoTY key from the box to my main account(which is my main question. Is there a separate key for GoTY items?). I'm in need of a new account anyway.

its one key, its not like a pre-release key, its the whole account/game w/goty. your best bet is to buy the goty upgrade from anet i think thru the in-game store.

only way to get GotY is from in game store for already bought accounts.

A while back i was reading the reply from one of the Anet staff about Guildwars Collector Edition.
Someone asked is there a way to get CE without creating a different account because the account he is using is ranked.
The reply was if he has a brand new CE just add the key into the existing account and it will upgrade into CE for whichever CE campaign it was.
So I don't really see the difference between adding CE and adding GotY to your account.
My question now is if you already have CE and don't wanna link it to NCplay account and you have a brand new GotY just bought from retail store. If you added into your CE account.
Would your account then became GotY or still CE or both?

Whatever account you add the key to gets the benefits of said key, adding what features it doesn't already have (if any). It is a single key. If you want *only* the weapons and stuff for a given account, log into that account and go to the in-game store to purchase them. Those items will be added to the account you logged in with automatically.

To get the Game of the Year Edition items for your current account, it would be more cost effective to buy it from the ingame store. If you want a second account that also has GotY items, you can buy that from almost any retailer that carries it. Shoot, even wally-world (WalMart) has it. For the second account, you will need to use an email address that is different than the one you used for your primary account.

Yes you can only get the items through the store for your FIRST ACCOUNT. So if you want those items just suck it up and pay the Money (real money) and get the items.

I would do this if there was a SWORD that I could get in Pre-Searing. Other than that there is not really good reason to get GoTY junk.

That said a Second account in and of itself is a great idea. I want another account for storage.

make 4 toons and get 400 more spaces for storage in presearing.
