Lightbringer Title
Daisuko
I've always wondered... The Lightbringer Title states...
Lightbringer. Title. For each Rank of Lightbringer, you deal 5% more damage to and have +1 damage reduction against Abaddon and his demonic servants.
Now, this works on Abaddon, Margonites, Stygians, Nightfall-exclusive titans, and Shadow Army units that were sent to Abaddon's Aid.
However, playing through the game I came to the understanding... (Unless I'm wrong, in which case I'm sorry)
That several other monsters were under Abaddon's Influence, and therefore should be effected by this title, and the respective skills.
Prophecies Titans. There were some Tyrian Titans under Abaddon's Employ, and possibly even all of them are connected to him, so they should be effected.
The Lich. I belive, but I may be wrong, that he was corrupted by Abaddon at some point, I don't really recall. Either way, he should be effected by Lightbringer in Gate of Madness.
Shiro. He was corrupted by Abaddon, and even the fortune teller was a servant of abaddon, so therefore he should be vulnerable to it as well.
Afflicted/Shiroken. Created by Shiro, his army should be effected by Lightbringer, as they are under Abaddon's Command by proxy.
The thought occurs that perhaps the monsters in question must be both, servants of abaddon and also demons, however the Shadow Army sent from menzies to aid Abaddon go against that rule, as I'm fairly certain they are not demons.
I don't care if this change was ever made or not, because they're not exactly difficult enough to require lightbringer... But since Abaddon was the main cause for all of these, and corrupted them in one way or another, Logically they should be effected, much like how Charr are all effected by Rebel Yell, EoTN or not.

I wouldn't mind seeing Lightbringer or monsters adjusted so that creatures in Nightfall that have been some way influenced by Abbadon are affected.
The rest of the game gets left alone though.

You're right from a lore perspective (more or less), but it would be bad idea for balance. (I do know what I said there, and, yes, it is laughable.) No need to break older parts of the game that weren't expecting newer developments.
Note to Anet: Lightbringer mechanic bad. Infusion mechanic (v2) good.

While affiliation-wise, it would make sense to have the Lightbringer affect
Titans/Lich/Undead in Prophecies
UW/FoW/Tombs enemies
Shiro/Shiro'ken
However, it would not make since lore wise BECAUSE Prophecies, Factions, and the Rift attacks all happened before the heroes became lightbringers, therefore are already dead. And for the Undead in EN, those affiliated with Orr at least, they would have been created by Abaddon's intent, but are not followers of Abaddon.
I suggest lightbringer stays the same.
No wait, there is a change needed, [Sunspear Rebirth Signet] also needs this change.
Give green scaling numbers!

You can already get advantages you can use from other campaigns, like more PvP skills, PvE skills or Heroes.
And in Nightfall, the title doesn't affect some creatures that should because they come from Prophecies or Factions.
So either they should change it to affect all demons and creatures related to abaddon like Nightmares, or at least change it to affect all of them when they appear in Nightfall, like Grasps of insanity.

Although that could simply mean they don't work for Abaddon, but reside in his realm (which, I believe was once Arachnia's realm and that those enemies were once hers before Abaddon took her place Grenth-style - hence why they wouldn't be affected).

Just remove it's influence on the game.
Problem solved.

I think it is already hyperpowered. Giving it more usability would make it too strong in my opinion. This title also affects your heroes - this is already too much in my opinion.
On the side note: Lightbringer = Lucifer in Latin. Highest rank in this title looks quite funny to me in this regard....

/signed. You have to be consistent. If you accomplish something in the game you should be able to reap the benefits. In HM it would be useful.
How about the Ebon Vanguard rank from EotN? I think you get the extra armor against the Charr in Prophecies as well. And how about using Ebon Vanguard skills (Battle Standard of Courage) in Prohecies? Similar to what the starter of the thread suggested...
On the side note: lucifer = match in Dutch (as in to light a candle)
