Bulletin Board in GH

I would like a bulletin board in the GH where all members can post messages. Officers can edit the messages. I'd like to use the bulletin board to arrange groups in advance to do missions, vanquishing etcetera. It's better than to log in Saturday morning and just hope that you can find guildies to play with...

It's not a bad idea to have it built into the game, but I would certainly recommend getting a guild forum in the time being.

Forums and announcements are good for me. would be good for a board rather than a odd green message which pops up when you log in and is lost in the endless chat of a American district

There's a lot of other online resources where you can do this, but i'd much rather have it as an in-game convenience. The guild announcement is where my guild keeps the vent information, team builder channel, and "Daily HA at 10 est" (and of course the gank list). There's not much more you can fit in there.
This would be good if individual players wanted to leave a message like "i won't be able to make it to tonight's gvg" so the guild can find a guest beforehand instead of struggling to find one after waiting for them.

i like the idea since not everyone that plays the game uses forums and i hate being told to go check the forums for an event or whatever. i think maybe an announcement log type npc for the gh would be great, but only let officers modify it. maybe even make it like a newspaper npc event page/build page/away page/etc

I like the Idea, forums are good and we use them a lot, but not every member checks those every day. The GH being a nice central spot, gets more attention that way. Alltough I don't need it in GW1 right away, it would be a nice addon for GW2.

mmm. THat's why usually most guilds get their own website hosted.
We have our own website and provide to our aliance members the opportunity to have their own under us.
Although having a bulletin Board in GW would eat a lot of bandwith.
Especially when you do searches for info. etc.

I just wish there was extra spaces to list the guild/alliance webpage addy, vent info, other permenant stuff so that we could keep the announcement space for just announcements. Maybe a spot that you can have larger upcoming plans announcment that you can read in the GH, and then the smaller regular pop-up-in-green announcement space.

It is a really good idea. Although some say "Get a forums", some guild members fail to read/sign up for the forums.
