Question on Chat Channel Changes...

Today i was stood in LA recruiting for my guild in local chat, when this guy PM'd me telling me to stop or he would report me for trading in local channel,

so i PM'd him back telling him that i am not trading i am recruiting, he argues the odds saying that recruiting is the same concept and you get banned for it so please stop, i then said to him, well im not trading in local channel so go ahead and report me for something i havnt done and continued to recruit in local chat. he then PM;d us back saying that he had successfully reported me

i asked my alliance and guild and they said that the guy was basically being an arsehole for doing that because that is no way trading in loacal channel, so i am just wondering if they mean recruiting in local channel aswell as trading.

of course you can recruit in local

theres plenty of people like that guy...just find a way to handle it. my favorite method is ignore list

There are rules against spamming in local chat, even if it's not trading. But to be considered for that you'd have to be spamming a whole lot, from what I've heard.

Just PM him back telling him you'll report him for verbal abuse. It counts as bullying so it's abuse.

Then put him on your Ignore list and forget about him. What you did is not trade. You weren't selling guild membership.

Hopefully the moron reported a whole bunch of recruiters and A-Net suspends him/her for abuse of the report feature.

But do be careful that you're not spamming your recruitment message, because that can get you a couple of days off from GW, too.

yeah, you can be reported for spamming in local, there is a guild recruitment section of the trade window for recruiting.

I wouldn't say i was spamming, as i was working on my drunkard title at the same time as recruting, so i was putting up the recruitment message every time i had to drink a new drink lol =P

I agree. Report him for mental abuse and racial intolerance for not allowing you to get more members for your guild. Your mental health has been effected and your race - your guild that is - is suffering cause of his ignorance.

Then sue him in RL for Mental Anguish causing you to post in this site. Then place him in your recycle bin and never speak of this again to get some healing.
