Upgrading Hero Armor?

Is it worth upgrading my hero's armor? Right now I just stick runes that I would just sell to merchants. Or is that actually pointless? But if it is worth it, is it worth spending a good amount of plat to upgrade them?

especially squishies...

enemy AI targets those with lowest hp - IIRC so buff your squishies - monks esp.

health runes and attribute runes - +1 only IMo
are the only runes I mod with oO and things like faster corpse exploitation and similar for necs

just think if they can be of use...

but buff your heroes with attributes runes they may actually save you *cough* may *cough*

As payne was pointing out, you should always upgrade hero armor with buff (Survivor or Stalwart are best) and rune. You don't need to put sup runes, just blues, but they help the hero just as they help a character.

Your heroes get DP just as you do. Preventing deaths and increasing damage helps you.

only time i would suggest a sup rune is if it makes a big difference in the output, most skills dont benefit from this. put in as many health runes as possible, then use situational and build based ones for the rest.

With relative lowest HP. AI treats 100/100 the same as 480/480 becouse they both are 100%. Allso count in armor.

If you spend any time playing Monk in PvE, you know that is not true. When I am monking, and see 1 player get attacked first in EVERY battle, I know he has an issue with one of 2 things. Armor and/or health. Typically when I ask, the person has max armor, and since there will be 3-4 other people with the same armor level, there is only one indication as to why they get attacked first EVERY fight. And since they start the fights at 100% health, it isn't because they have taken damage.

Almost every time I find a person taking too much aggro for no good reason, I ask them what their health is. 90% of the time, the response indicates to me they have at least 1 Superior rune PLUS a Major rune or a second Superior, and usually no Vigor, or only a Minor Vigor.

Upgrade all your monk and necro heroes first, you will use them most, then upgrading 1 of each hero profession remaining will usually suffice, i mean how often are you really going to be using 3 warrior heroes?

Eh, it's worth it to upgrade the couple of heroes you use most. On my main char, the first time I played through, I runed up most of my heroes. Now I've run 7 other characters through most of the games, and I don't even bother anymore if I'm just doing nm.

Not really. Unless your doing HBs or a lot of HM farming, its really not THAT important. If you have a good team build, you can roll through anything irrigardless of runes.

Another thing to keep in mind though if you insist on equiping runes and insignas on your heroes is that you can salvage them off, and hero armor has a 100% chance of not breaking when you salvage. That means you ONLY need to buy enough generic runes (survivor + vigor) for 3 heroes, and then can just switch your runes around every time you change heroes.

Yes, spend all your money equipping your heroes!

Seriously, it's just how much time and money you want to spend on them. I think heroes are pretty damn important and one of my goals is getting all of them Superior Vigors. Of course, since I'm pretty cheap, that can take a while.
I'd recommend to go with minor or major attributes runes. After that, excess of radiant and survivor runes that you get from the drops, just put them on heroes that you think need them most. After a while, you'll get all your heroes fully equipped.
