Partner for Assassin?

My friend is starting tonight at level 1 as an assassin, we both want to play together through the whole story (not just factions), we found it annoying trying that on our level 20's.

What good partners are there? I find Ritualist interesting, although i've never played one... is it a good partner for an assassin?

Any other suggestions would be great, what heroes etc?

You throw Splinter Weapon + Ancestor's Rage on your friend and things go KA-BOOM! So .. go for it!
On the other hand - a necro is NEVER a bad choice!

Pretty much adding necro heroes works. If you want more detailed info - I'd really suggest first coming up with a plan on what you want to be - and then we'll take it from there.

Well as i've read so far, lots of people saying N/Rt would be a better combo than Rt/* because the base skill of Rits is bad? I'ven ot played the game for a long time, and dont actually remmember what their base skill was, but i've been thinking about it.

Splinter weapon and so on were my initial plans, as long as we can manage to do pretty much anything we set our minds to in PvE i'd be quite happy picking Rit, i think they look awesome too.

Presuming i do choose Rit and level with him, obviously i'd be playing the support role - what heroes would be advisable? On my Ranger i've simply ran the triple necro setup, and it is pretty sick in how good it is!

Same applies for us in this case, or do things change?

Sorry to sound like a noob!

[mark of pain] allso combines very well with the high attack speed of assassins (double strikes and [critical agility] give the sin the fastest attack speed). So like stated above, necro also works nicely.

I'd go N/Rit with [[mark of pain] and [[splinter weapon]. That should be game over. And yea Sabway would work fine. And perhaps your sin friend could run [[save yourselves]...

Sorry to sound like a noob! It's PvE.
For starters this means that bad choices won't make you fail.
On top of it - you'll be playing with a friend - which further reduces the chance of failure.

And because of that - when choosing a class - you pretty much just decide if you want to run support or damage - and then go with what has the prettiest armour.
Soul Reaping is godly - but if you run a Assassin's Promise ritualist - you get the same effect.

So if you really want to try out the ritualist - I seriously suggest going for it. It's my absolutely favorite class - and I play with heroes or one guildy and the guy works perfectly.
I normally run the 3 necros (Discord-way because that gives me something to play around with) - because of the stupidity of the AI. Running a necro hero means that the guys do not need to manage their energy and are free to spam their skills. And that's just perfect for their level of brilliance. Or the lack of.

So - once again - go for the ritualist.
They are sweet!

I would say the best professions for physical support would be Necromancers or Ritualists.

I would go N/Rt too...Splinter Weapon, Mark of Pain, Barbs and Flesh of my Flesh/DPS for a hard rez...fun for all.

Alternatively, if you dont mind using a better alternative, use an elite Assassin Tome for Sin's Promise, then go nuts with Mark of Pain, Rigor Mortis, Barbs on eeeevery enemy. Literally, every 3 seconds.

Get your collective butts to EoTN, bring YMLAD, Mindbender, Finish Him! annnnnd that bar will get you through 99% of GW.

Id go N/Rt. as long as you aren't interesting in spamming spirits (it sucks anyways) you wont miss anything from spawning.

As an assassin, I would prefer to have a human monk by my side. I would leave the MMs, Splinter weapon spammers and all that to my heroes. But a well placed prot is heavenly.

Cheers.

You: Blossom spammer.

Him: N/A AP-MoP nuker with assorted imba PvE skills. Easy to adapt as Necro's have a crapload of good utility skills.

have a Hero carry Splinter Weapon (N/Rt? lawl).

If u dont have a sin, i would say make a sin with him, u dont have to be melee, but and go ranger 2nd and do crit barrage, but think of the future, right now sins are the bomb for farming
