Can you make a char, get all this nice armor...then delete him...but make another char with the same name, would the armor go to ur new char since the game would think its the same char cuz of the name?

No. Even if the character name is the same, customized armor and weapons won't work for the new character.

Nice try, but no. The game doesn't go by name alone, it's probably something to do with character creation in the gamelog. But that would be something for the Tech Forums.

I found this out the hard way (but thankfully early in the game in Pre-Searing) when I remade a toon while my wife held onto all of my gear. Oh well, live and learn.

nope, the game keeps a log of characters as well as names, so even with a same name its still with a different "id"

I'm guessing you made a "wrong gender" or a wrong face...but there's no way for ANYTHING customized to be transferred.

I tried that once with the exact same character I've remade and it didn't work. I don't have pics or any evidence, but here's an experience for you suggesting that you can not do that.

Correct. You can make a toon with the same name but the item that are customized are no longer or any use even if you name the toon the smae. I did this as well and = fail

it did work back in th early days of factions but was patched ages ago as other have said its not possable anymore
