Really Simple Idea.
New friends/Whisper Options.
For Private Chat/Whisper...
None - No PM At all Even Friends.
Friends Only - Only Friends youv added Can Pm You. This Kills Spammers/Ignored people who have multiple Accounts and QQ/Rage you.
All - Defines itself
For the Chat itself, Add a /FM Command so you can Msg all friends at once. Similar to Battle.Net

um iono if this is a good idea, alot of ppl pm me, from guru, and others for trades
but the all friends at one time is cool, but iono seems like they have a guild chat for that, since a lot of my friends on the buddy list i odnt know and r across the country, they'll be a lot of confusion.
i think a good idea is a pop up everytime ur friend logs in, like in all other rpg's! i need to not have to constantly chekc my friends list to see whose on

As much as guru people like to play the "elitist" role of the entirety of the GW population, most of them are dumb, and I fear that if I try and contact a seller, they will probably be "friends only" and I'll never get my item. People are just too inept to make it work, despite the idea being alright.
