PC on Jadeite Shards & Amber Chunks

Hope this is not the wrong place to post this but noticed that I can’t buy them anymore at rare material trader. Well I can buy like two, then he is sold out. You think the price will go up now since you need 5000 faction to get one?

No, I don't think it will go up, because even if you need 5k faction to buy a single piece, getting faction is easier.

IMO the cost in faction has just been scaled to match the increased rewards.

Agreed, jadeite and amber are still real easy to get with faction, since getting faction is easier with the tons of things that give faction and raise faction cap.

I don't know about long term but you're right, since the update you often cannot get them from the trader and when you can, the price is now higher than it was before.

I've made some extra cash selling ones I already had to WTBs in Kamadan.

However I am not as eager to hit that button to buy 1 Jadeite for 5k Faction, regardless of how easy the other posters seem to think it is to get it.

5k faction is still 5k ...and 1 Jadeite currently is not worth that to me.
If the price does continue to go up, and the traders continue to be sold out, I might spend 5k faction on 1 piece of Jadeite, but again, at the moment, it's not worth it to me.

Ive had something happening, I dont know if everyone is getting it but...when I go to a rare mat trader it shows amber chunks for about 330-360g each. But if I go again a few seconds later its not there and visa versa I try again and its there. It does let me buy the amber, ummm yea...what should I do with that? I thought traders arent suppose to sell them anymore.

It's all on Supply and Demand. They still sell them, people just keep buying them to avoid the 5k faction they would have paid.

Ok here is an update. It seems u can’t buy more then 2 at rare merchant trader then he is sold out… anyway I’m selling Amber Chunks at Kamadan easy for 500g each. People moan 1st but then they see they can’t buy more then 2 they come back to me. My opinion is 5k faction still a lot for 1 Amber/Shard 500g easier. But that’s my guess. Still testing market…

Someone pointed out in another thread somewhere that an alternative for 5k faction is 5 scrolls to Urgoz or Deep. Those scrolls are worth 100g to the merchant so 5k faction = 5 scrolls = 500g (minimum). People will not trade for amber/jade to sell for money unless they can sell it for higher than the value of 5 scrolls (500g). Going by this, an amber/jade is worth minimum 500g.

I tested on buying amber from rare mat. trader. Ive been able to buy amber from trader and especially more than 2. Im not sure if anyone esle is getting this or many just dont notice it.
