First off, this is NOT a QQ thread, or a rant about zomg anet /phails wtf etc etc. I remember a few months back when an announcement was made about a hall of monuments update that would allow you to turn it to 'account based' in some fashion and show the statues of your other characters (ie, I could show my ldoa and survivor statues on my main character, who is too old to have gotten those titles) Has this been abandoned? I thought I remember it was pushed back to the November update, which turned out to be a huge update by itself without the HOM changes. Is this still in the works?

They're still working on making it account wide I think. They're implementing the HoM changes in stages, like they've already added tormented weapons. So instead of one big update we have several smaller ones. That being said, they're still working on making it account wide, it's just that will probably be one of the final changes they make.

I don't recall any mention of it being pushed back to the Nov update. In fact, I don't recall any mention of a release date for that update, just a lot of wild speculation.
The only recent official mention of it, was that they split off the addition of Tormented weapons in HoM, as the overall HoM update was taking a while.

Iirc, ANet are working on the GW2 side of the HoM update.
The month of the HoM update was never announced by ANet. People thought that the HoM would be included because Wisdom and Treasure Hunter were going account based. Pointless speculation that turned out false in other words.

it will be coming imo, and i hope it does. that way buying armor sets i really like on characters i rarely use will be worth it.

They announced it way before it was ready, so people could plan for it and stop making, for instance, multiple chars at high KoaBD ranks.

Just FYI, the reason it is taking so long is that the changes to the HoM involve coding on the GW2 side as well as GW1.

My advice is to chill out about it.
Guild Wars 2 is two or more years away from completion, so as long as they fix the HoM sometime in that time period, I'm happy. I'd rather they work on other fixes as they are doing now and work on the account-wide changes during spare time. What's the rush?

I have to agree I thought that it would be in the major november update, but I was wrong. Tbh I dont really care. My main has a full HoM, and my other 4 or 5 characers have little things in their HoM, and I was never planning on fully upgrading their HoMs at any rate.

Considering how long we'll probably have to wait for GW2, getting the HoM update doesn't seem like any big necessity at the moment. I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't come until spring.

It was said at one point that even minor changes to HoM are a pain due to the interlinking between GW1 and 2. No date for release has ever been announced, so it's kind of up in the air until they decide to drop it on us.
Linsey, the main dev in charge of GW1, has already said there are no plans to make any other titles account wide.

I don't expect the HOM update till around 09 or later, most likey closer to the beta for GW2. Why? Well so that they can have real people who get into the beta test it out and make sure that everything is working properly. Yes they have test servers for that, but sometime things happen. Anywho thats what i think.
