If this is in the wrong area, please move it. I didn't see any area for a specific question like this.
There was this player... He pm'd me from Temple of the Ages American District 1 telling me how he wants to help a small guild grow, good stuff. And that was an officer from [LaZy] but the name sounded funny. He wanted to be officer. He sounded like he knew his stuff really well.
I invite him, make him officer. Two seconds later, my members are getting kicked. He PM's me calling me "the B word", puts me on ignore. He then takes me off saying. "I'm a member from Anet. I randomly guild hop and get officer and test guild leaders like this and and if anyone else does this to you, it's a test"
Now I know I was STUPIP and totally NUBZORZ to do that. But I know this isn't Anet and my account was fine. But should I report him anyway? I've let my guild know on the announcement and it the forums and other guild leaders I know so it won't happen to them.
Should I report this guy to Anet?

Report but more then likely, nothing will happen. They might temp ban him, but don't expect much. Be sure to mention that he impersonated an ANet staff *If you got a screen shot of the whisper and your guild status, you're golden and they should take action*. But nonetheless, don't expect any pats on the back from support.
Also, you will need to spend your own cash to get those (active) members back. And don't promote anyone so quickly, don't trust anyone within a week of meeting (people joined my past guilds and asked for money then left when someone either gave him money or no one gave him money).

Report the Fker, he shouldn't even be born as a human, a worm is all that he's worth.

ultimately it's your fault for believing someones total BS and trusting them with officer, and i'm pretty sure there's nothing you can do. the harassing sure you can report him for verbal abuse, but although kicking everyone was a real dick move, it's not against the rules. consider it a lesson learned in learning how to run a guild.

If you've got Screen shots - Definitely report the scumbag! If you don't, report him/her anyway. just be sure to provide the player's name, date, time, town & district. I know the A-net staff do not take kindly to people impersonating GW staff.
I hope you've learnd your lesson & this tale will help other aspiring Guild Leaders from making the same mistake.

Here's a bit of logic that many people seem to miss in this particular discussion:
If you report a scammer, cheat, gold seller, griefer, etc., A-Net MIGHT take action against them. Whether they do or not is their decision. All you have to worry about is being able to live with the fact that you made the effort to rid GW of one more jerk. (or you over-reacted)
If you DON'T report a scammer, cheat, gold seller, griefer, etc. A-NET WON'T do anything about it. Period.
