I don't understand why armor-ignoring spells like the waves and Obby Flame are only doing 70-80 dmg when I have Earth Magic up to 14 and using Glyph of Elemental Power. Obby Flame should be doing 106dmg @ 14 EM and 118dmg w/ the Glyph. Likewise the Wave should be doing 94dmg to all surrounding enemies and 106dmg with the Glyph.

Any ideas? Also, what kind of Ecto droprates are people getting here?

EDIT* Nevermind about the damage - 33% less damage with Shadow Form

Obby flame should be doing the correct damage, maybe they have some kind of protection skill? Ie Mantra of Earth?
Hmmm, the above theory doesn't work with Teinai's Crystals.

However I can tell you (for sure) that Ectos only drop from the following monsters in there.

Banished Dream Rider, Terrorweb Dryder.

damage question has ben answered,but for the first floor the common drop rate is around 3ecto every 5 runs,if your clearing past that the second floor usually has around 1-2e on it,past lvl 2 its pointless to go on since it will take ages thanks to the large ammount of wurms and non-ecto droping foes.

I've been doing this run(only the 6 dryders and 3 riders on first lvl) with Perma since almost when Perma was first discovered and MAYBE back then I could get that 3 ectos per 5 run average, as I do this run more often and more people started doing it the rate has gone down for me significantly, the last few times I did this I have completely filled up my 35 slot inventory with only 1 or 2 or sometimes 0 ectos to show for.

I generally get 1 ecto every 6-7 runs for the first floor

For the other floors it varies but overall I get 1-3 ectos for the whole 4 floors which is pretty lousy for 1 1/2 hours worth of work compared to underworld.

On the other hand, the drop rates for gold items, dyes, scrolls and rare mats seems to be higher on the top 2 floors for me. most of my black dyes have come from TopK
