hi there , recently i have started doin guardian titles and vanquishing but what i normally do with guild/ally but when none of them are on i have to use henches what i hate for 2 reasons
1.crap builds
2. no real control
so here is my suggestion
allow upto 7 of your own heros insted of 3 and i belive this will work better since ppl can use there own builds and have a less stressfull time

It is also one of the most commons suggestions here at Sardelac, and there's even an official word from ANet on it: They're "looking in to it". That was, I guess, well over a year ago.
