Ok guys. My problem is that changing the volume in winamp is changing the volume in Guild Wars. I am a Blade Radio listener and I prefer winamp. I usually turn the music down and turn it back up when the dj's talk. Lately I have found that changing winamp volume changed the guild wars. I have no idea why this is happening but I really want it fixed. It never used to do this before.

If you need anymore info on the problem, please ask me.

from my experience the volume in winamp affects the overall volume on your computer. not sure if there's anything you can do about it, but if there is I'd like to know as well... pretty annoying at times

Well, I use Winamp in the background of practically every game, full screen or not and the volume in Winamp only affects Winamp.

Never had / heard of this problem. If I can find any more info on it I'll post.

hmm, is that so? I'll try something as simple as just reinstalling it then

Yeah, well, it wouldn't make sense at all for Winamp to be affecting the whole PC's volume, as you'd only want to be adjusting your music's volume in Winamp.

I have it on Vista 64-bit and XP-32 bit, as well.

I get winamp changing my overall PC setting as well...maybe there's something we need to switch on or off to fix that?

Windows Media Player would effect the whole PC as I play netradio on another game.

Okay, I fixed it.

What you need to do is go to Options -> Preferences -> Plug-Ins -> Output, and then choose the plug-in that ends with [out_ds.dll]
