To be honest, I'm surprised GW will even start with this gfx.
It's unsupported by Guild Wars and will usually not run at all.

actually, you do NOT meet the minimum specs. intel GMA 855 is extremely old, and it's actually not a graphic "card" at all. it is an integrated graphic solution that's on your motherboard, and is not meant for 3D gaming.
if you want a workaround, go here:

the same tweaks should work for you. keep in mind that this kind of programs will invariably damage your machine in the long term, so don't run GW with it all the time. and of course, GW will run like crap.

Basically, Intel Integrated Graphics is designed to provide a basic graphic engine to display the desktop and a limited amount of video such as found on YouTube, etc. It's not designed for 3D gaming (or, if it is, it's designed badly. )
Your best option is to get either a new desktop or laptop with better graphics. It can still have "integrated graphics" - those by ATI or nVidia can run GW without crashing (but not with the best fps )

What do you mean by desktop? Do you think I should change the moniter integrated in my laptop? Or should I buy a new laptop?

By Desktop he means the GUI, or the basic layout of your icons.
Replacing your moniter would do nothing, because the problem is with your graphics card, the moniter only displays the image that the graphics card sends. To play GW you will need to replace your laptop.

incorrect. by desktop, he means a desktop computer. or in other words, the kind that has a big tower that you generally don't move.
either way, you need a new computer.

Actually, I'm running Guild Wars smoothly on an Nvidia GeForce 2 MX/MX 400, it's because it's integrated graphics. Laptops aren't TYPICALLY designed for gaming, also you need to factor in some of the features that makes a laptop more secure, best bet would be to play it on your PC...or stick to Prophicies areas...since they're less graphically demanding.

gaming performance is almost always dependent on the graphics card (or lack thereof). for instance, my laptop can play GW easily at high at the native resolution (1280x800), simply because it has a geforce 8400M GS graphics chip with its own memory. my desktop has even better specs, and GW looks absolutely gorgeous on it. i'm playing through many of the areas again just to enjoy the scenery.

Honestly, you're only going to get a half-assed experience while playing it on a laptop anyways, it's going to lag badly and even in Prophicies areas...you'll probably only max out around 10 FPS, if you're lucky. Be glad your computer freaks in Rata Sum...it looks horrible with my slighltly better card...*shivers* Eagle Warrior Armor...

for games that have a fairly low graphics req (by current standards) their are laptop gpus out there that will do just fine... esp with GW. I ran it for nearly 2 years on a 7600gt on my laptop and it gave me at least 40-45 fps on max settings at 1440x900 res. Just steer clear of INtel. lol
