i'm kinda stuck at the Gates of Desolation. i have but one quest left, and it has nothing to do with Mastering Junundu. what am i missing? off the top of my head, i have 2 missions left. Something passage and Baston. any help is greatly appreciated.

This is the mission where you learn to ride Junundu.

But if you haven't done Dzagonur Bastion and Pogahn Passage, what are you doing at the Gate of Desolation?

In Nightfall, even if you get run to further areas, you have to go back and do the missions in order to progress through the story line.

Keep doing the missions, you will get the mastering mission, poghan should be next.

Since you have Dzagonur Bastion, I assume you picked Master of Whispers.

If that is so, you cannot do Poghan passage unless you get a party-member with Margrid.

You need to do Dzagonus Bastion. Desolation area is after Vabbi.

you have to do all the previous missions before you can do later missions, even if yu can run to them, the only one this isnt true is in proph.

i went back to see, and yes, the Dzagonur Bastion is yet to be done, (not due to lack of trying) but all the other missions to that point are done. yes, had to get some help to do the passage quest, but have it done as well. i will keep plugging away at it tho. thank you all for your suggestions and comments.

i'll post again if this problem persists

Not necessarily.

If you choose Margrid, then continue through the storyline past Dasha Vestibule, Dzagonur Bastion will flash as an incomplete mission (assuming you've explored to the place, of course). Same with Rilohn Refuge once you're past Pogahn Passage.

The only catch, of course, is that you can't do these missions without Master of Whispers, but they'll still show as incomplete missions.

(example*, with my assassin who hasn't completed Nightfall, but has been to Dzagonur (and chose Margrid the Sly))

So Tonja, you'll see two incomplete missions unless you group with someone else to get the required NPC, but those two missions won't prevent you from continuing with the storyline. If Gate of Desolation is not showing up for you as a mission spot, then it's probable you've missed a primary quest somewhere. It'd help if you mention the last mission you've completed.

* Imageshack is being cranky, every time I've tried to load an image recently a forced-refresh has been required. But the image is there, really.

that's exactly what it shows. i've been roaming the map for a week now looking for what i have missed, so to try to tell you the last mission i did would be just as bad as asking this ole gal which wrinkle came first. i really just don't remember. I'm hoping it all comes down to the Bastion and or what follows that. I'll keep looking. maybe I'll find a Primary, haven't had one of those in a while.

Using Wiki helps too. It tells you the missions and quests needed to have access to a particular mission. So if you look up Gates of Desolation on Wiki it will tell you what you need to have completed before you can do that mission.

Or you can look at the full list of Nightfall missions. That list also includes the primary quests you need. Similar approach to what MagmaRed suggested, this list is just an overview rather than working from the mission backwards.
