Buddy Key Question - Keeping Armor

Well, I have Prophecies and EOTN, and a very nice person gave me a buddy key, so now I have 14 Day/10 hours to test Nightfall and Factions. Since I don't plan to buy them (I am moving to another city in 2 months, no GW there), I was thinking on what could I do in the lands of Cantha and Elona. Then "buy a cool armor" popped in. Now I wonder if its possible to buy an armor there and keep it after trial is over. The amor would be to my main toon, a prophecies character. I would be glad if I know if that is possible.

Yes, you get to keep anything you get during the trial period, though skills and heroes become locked after the trial until an appropriate campaign key is added to the account. The question then becomes, do you think you can get to any of the armor crafters in 10 hours? If all you want are the basic max armors, then I wouldn't bother with that goal.

Be sure to check the wikis and prepare the mats needed for the armors beforehand. And remember, the trial time starts once the key is added to the account, whether or not you are playing in Cantha/Elona.

I am posting this, because it might be interesting for those who are in my situation. Actually the time left starts decaying when in in NF/Fac areas, I just spent like 4 hours in LA/GToB/EoTN, then I flipped back to Kamadan and I still had 9h 3min (I spent like an hour to get 1.5k Istani, and planning to spend the remaining hours to get to a elite armor crafter, hence my preocupation if I stay with then even after trial ends, or would it be like "you can't equip this armor etc")

the 14 days starts when you add it, the 10 hours whenever you are in the trial continents.

as for armor, I'm pretty sure if you played straight through, with no repetitive mission failures or anything you could get to Vasburg Armory. I beat Factions with My assassin in 6 days on 24 hours of gameplay. and if i remember correctly i went afk a couple times, explored around a little extra.

I'd agree, its possible. but a little difficult to get an elite armoor set. basics are no big deal imo though

So, would you say no way of getting elite armor in NF, perhaps in Factions? Getting Elite Kurzick in Vasburg Armory in Factions for my Warrior is still very good news for me

actually getting elite armor in NF wouldnt be too hard, NF is fairly easy campaign with only like 2 or 3 missions, jenurs horde and garden of sebhorkin(sp?) comes to mind. the 14 day starts when you add and the 10 hours when your in the specific land. but if you want to get there fast get cracking.

You could get elite sunspear armor in that time. You need to get to Command post and beat the Building the base prisoner of war quest. Roughly half way throught he NF campaign so very doable

Is there some kind of "run" as in Prophecies (or ANY other kind of shortcut involving - or not - other players who already beat campaign/have some specific quests)? I wonder wich outpost is faster to reach for a Prophecies character, Vasburg Armory (Elite Kurzick) or Bone Palace (Ancient, excluding the pharaoh helm). Primeval is in the very end and has glove glitches, and vabbian/sunspear/luxon/canthan doesn't really suit me.

actually if you're going to get NF elite armor it's very easy. Consulate docks is the first mission you have to complete in the NF campaign with maybe an hour of primary quests before that mission. after you do consulate docks the next quest is Hunted! which takes you to the Sunspear Sanctuary. then you do the "Building the Base" quests, maybe another hour of gameplay. after that you can get elite sunspear armor for whichever character you want. a total of maybe 4 hours of gameplay if you take your time.

i see from your profile that you're a warrior. i really like the elite sunspear warrior armor. it's what i use on my war actually. so if i were you, that's what i would do.

prophs is the only campaign where you can skip missions without actually completing them. the problem with getting to vasburg is that you have to do the Befriending the Kurzicks quest which makes it mandatory to gain 10,000 Kurz Faction. That, all by itself, is likely to take about 2 hours since you won't be able to vanquish an area since you won't have HM unlocked. it also takes around 6-7 hours to get to vasburg if you get "run" through all the missions and quests.

Elite SUnspear shouldn't be a problem in 9 hours of dedicated gaming time.

So, reaching Vasburg Armory is probably not possible because of the 10k kurz quest.

Is it possible to reach Bone Palace within the time limit?

There used to be a run sadly not anymore, I have doubts but if you had a few guildies willing to power you teh hell through, you might, juuuussssst might make it yet very doubtful. Elite sunspear - helm is very nice and doable, plus i am not sure but you might be able to get another trial and finish up and get to bone palace, not sure how that works though.

If you want elite Kurzick, you need to remember the 10k faction for Befriending. Idk if that still takes a while to get while going through the game since the blessing update thing, but it could still take off some time

Huh, I didn't know about that 2x trial thing, but it's highly improbable since it was already extreme luck to receive this key. Also, it thappens that I was looking foward to get either Ancient or Kurzick. I'm aware that getting Sunspear is like a walk in a park, but I'd like to know if those are really possible if rushed enough.

If you prepare for all the NF missions beforehand, you could get ancient armor easily. Me and my friend on 2 occassions have beaten all of NF in 1 day, so beating half should be easily doable in 9 hours. Just find some people to help you, use sabway/discordway, and good luck

Unfortunately, my guildies aren't the "helpful ones" kind. I am trying to find out what is the fastest way to reach Bone Palace, since I heard people's suggestions about getting a "desolation run", wich I am totally unaware, but trying to understand how would it work. According to Wiki, to reach Bone Palace, the quest A Deal's a Deal must be completed. And its avaiable in Remains of Sahlahja. I wonder even if I get miraculously teleported to there, would I be able to get the quest or participate in a party with the validated quest?

Just out of curiosity, what does "no GW there" mean. No internet access? No computer?

On topic: I can't find (and don't know) the answer to the armor question. I'd be curious to know if you can keep the armor, but I have no easy way to find out. (I have all the campaigns and EotN, so no trial keys can be added.)

No time to play, moving for study purposes. It's kinda of a long story. In a nutshell, to be able to be accepted at engeneering school/university (actually institute of technology).

So, anyone knows about that "desolation run"? My guildies aren't helpful

EDIT: Yay! I managed to buy Ancient armor, by following the storyline, with 2 hours left, and died a coulple of times in Jennu's Horde. I guess its probable to beat NF too.
