I was asking around about luxon farming, trying to find the best way to gain it PvE style but I been told it's been nerfed with nov. 13 update. On the wiki page, it states doing missions such as Zos Shivros Channel and The Aurios Mines is the way to gain it. I'm trying to avoid PvP atm so AB isn't a good choice for me. I haven't done faction farming before so all this new updates to it still confuses me.

I did a search on this and I found many threads regarding this but I found out most are outdated/nerfed.

I found the newest thread regarding faction farming, which is http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...=luxon+farming

My question is, those quests doesn't involve something similar to PvP (ex. AB) correct? I heard those quests are very difficult from a friend so I wasn't sure if I should try this.

Those quests are mini missions where you rack up points and faction the more foes you take out before you get overwhelmed. When you start out you can get overwheled rather quickly, but the quests are repeatable. With a bit of practice you cn start getting the hang of it.

Other ways of getting Luxon points, if you don't want PVP, are to pick up kill bounties from Luxon controlled res shrines, vanquishing Luxon areas, and filling in the Factions storybook "Shiro's Return" and cashing it in with Anja in Kaineng Center

vanquishing is a very viable choice now. vanqing mt qinkai yields about 11k faction in 20-30 mins and is hero/henchable

The "nerf" is that prior to the Nov. 13th update, both the Kurzick and Luxon areas had repeatable quests that could be done by flagging heroes to quest points. The player stayed near the quest giver and collected the reward (faction points), then stepped back inside the portal and out again to repeat many times in a short period of time.

The update added foes to the quest point locations requiring the player to make the rounds with his team and fight.

As for current faction farming, just play the game. ArenaNet has doubled the amount of faction per kill and just the normal exploring, skill capping, quest and mission completion will gain you a lot of faction.

If you wish to do it slightly faster, then the PvP-style Fort Aspenwood and Jade Quarry areas gain both faction and Balthazar faction. This is random 8-man team PvP and can be great fun. Even losing gets you a good amount of faction.

The best way i have found is to Vanquish Mount Qinkai.

This can be done in under half an hour and gets you about 12K in total.

dont forget the kurzick and oni spawns

Thank you for all the helpful posts. You're talking to a person who's never done these but now, I'm full aware what is needed.

As for vanquish, since it's on HM and I only finished the nightfall campaign, I guess I'll wait until I finish faction campaign.

I'm just trying to get my PvE faction skills to play around with. I guess the repeatable mini missions/quest(shiro) is the best way for now.

Since you haven't completed factions yet first thing should be to get yourself a book and do that. Then you can vanquish/fa-jq/ab/quest for faction much easier and you will have beaten factions.
