So was browsing guildwars wiki as I usually do and some how i came across dervishes. It said they can be good tanks yadda yadda yadda... and then it says they can also be potent healers. I was like whoa never seen a dervish healer so thats why i am askin you.
Anyone got any dervish healer builds i can mess around with?

I hope that build is a joke......
And the above is very under pare compared to any other heal build on a monk/rit/ect
Dervish really are not healers, they can be as they do have a few spells, but otherwise not at all.
They can spam orders well though

yes 15 mysticism (dervish attribute)
13 earth prayers (dervish attribute)
Sometimes when I'm really bored and feel like healing in RA ill run that dervish build. It is quite fun when the other team is like "WTF whos healing!?". I actually got in a team and got 10 wins in RA then got to TA and won 4 more times. Good Times...

There's some funny things you can do with Mystic Zeal (Orison/RoF/Mend Body Soul spam), but it just feels like a gimped Ether Renewal now.
Pious Renewal healers were briefly in TA meta once. They can't pump out heals as fast as monks and have zero prot, but do have infinite energy and are difficult to kill with perma mirage whatever and mysticism healing. So they fit well with a team of hard-to-kill things like rangers and warriors. (Same reason N/D healer is used for Defy Pain IWAY)
Main problem is people actually play necros and mesmers now in TA. Rend or spam disruption = GG.

Actually I have found that support as a blind-bot or backup healing to be a very powerful role in PvE.
Playing as a blind-bot is more about making yourself an unattractive target with Conviction and armor insignias (I like Blessed) and then hitting as many targets as possible while Ebon Dust Aura is up. It's a more traditional role in that you are in the fray actually beating on things, and you can really pump out damage while staying self-sufficient with Earth Prayers healing. I tend to take a Warrior secondary for Wild Blow to ensure that I have an attack that will land.
Backup healing is a rather interesting role in that it plays like how many expect a "Paladin" class to operate. Wind Prayers healing such as Dwayna's Touch and Mystic Healing can be very powerful and efficient, and naturally higher armor than a Monk makes the Dervish a less attractive target for enemies to munch on. I like to take a Monk secondary with Protection Prayers since Reversal of Fortune becomes an energy gain when paired with high Mysticism and Arcane Zeal. Make no mistake: this isn't a primary healer. The fact that you can basically spam a party-wide heal, however, is powerful.
