Vanquishing Deldrimor Bowl

I just recently started doing some vanquish with my Necro and I'm feeling the need to throw my PC out the window on this area. Simply because on the groups with 2 protectors I can't outdamage their heals, hell I'm lucky if I even get to lower their HP to 80%. I've tried a number of solutions, always H/H'ing, I've been running with a heavy physical team suited for the build I bring along, curses btw.
I have:
Talkhora, hybrid
Olias, MM
Gwen, tried shutdown, energy denial, interrupts, a few other builds...
Another Monk + Warrior or Ranger.

Try a Broad Head Arrow hero.. I had no problems with the area.

Energy denial is pointless in PvE. Anet thinks its funny that casters can have infinate energy.

Since you said you're running curses and didn't mention your Elite... (I figure you're running SS)
[Lingering Curse] is the best bet, but [Pain of Disenchantment] coupled with Gaze or Rend would be nice as well. Regardless of your Elite choice, be sure to drop [Soul Barbs] on the target as well.
I play as a ranger, so BHA comes with me on every vanquish. You might consider bringing [Technobable] on your bar for an easier daze - its just much shorter lived.

Hi, when i did it, i did the whole thing from droks, with 8 man, also, if you having that much trouble, did you try cons???, from droks, you should be able to get 8 man group, also, have you tried from camp rankor, not sure but i think thats a 8 man party, if you need some help , i be glad to help you out, i run a ranger, can do all builds, and got all heroes maxed out, runed out, weaponed out, ussally on after 4:30 PM Eastern standard time ( usa), ign name is " Gwendolyn star '

How do you enter deldrimor bowl from droks without entering beacon's perch (which is a 6 man area) ?

Thanks for your help, I actually tried using Lingering Curse but I suppose I'll give it another try. Gonna try the BHA as well, tough conditions on this area are somewhat useless, since there's always at least 2 monks and each has [mend ailment] and [purge conditions], but Gwen might help me deal with the 2nd monk.

first when i did it which was way over a year ago, i did the whole thing in like the day, from droks all the way to beacons, i left with 8 man, party, nothing but heroes and henchies, i used a few cons on the way, but did not have any mayor dificulties, i cannot remmber every exact detail, but due not remmber anything mayor complications, i was on my ranger, and usally run Broadhead arrow, always take a interupt mesmer, with me in hardmode, cuase truly shine in hardmode, if by any chance, when i mapped in any area the party shrunk , im not sure, or did not notice, cause i was on a roll.

Problem solved Snieves helped me out on that area, he knows what he's doing cutting through the mobs like butter. Done in little over an hour with no deaths, we had to waste about 15min searching for a group that we kept missing. Thanks for the help man

Np man, if you get stuck again, give me a holler, when i was working on my guardian and vaanquishers titles, there wasn't many ppl out there doing , them, so, i ended up ,hero / henching them. good luck

- To receive credit for the Vanquisher title track in this area you must defeat 150-208 monsters in Hard Mode.
- If you are having trouble finding the last few enemies, try checking near the portal to Griffon's Mouth. There is sometimes a group of Ettins on the other side of the portal. Once in radar view they should start running towards you and eventually just disappear, giving you the Vanquish for this area if they were the last in the area. The Centaurs also patrol the map quite a bit so you may have missed a few while vanquishing the area.
- The rare material trader will buy things. This makes caravan vanquishing and titan quests easier.

6 snow ettins on the other side of the portal, that wont come running.
They are too far away.
Had no problem vanquishing the area with 6 man, but i finaly resorted to wiki after making 3 passes around an empty map. This bug is BS. Vanquished everything on the map...and 6 Ettins from the other side of the portal wont let me vanquish the map?? Cant even flag hench on the other side of the portal to agro them. What a waste of time.

Ever since they buffed aura of faith that area has become ridicously hard, here how I did it: run in, hit sniper support, run out, repeat

oh lol, when i vanquished that area, i forgot enchant removals since i came in from a different area... I pretty much did it with lucky ebon vanguard sniper shots and energy attrition... needless to say it took a long time especially the double healer group w/ the healer boss >_< I had melee shutdown skills so I had a 15 minute deadlock fight until i could spike a healer that wandered out of the other monk's healing range.

Haha yea, if you go melee hate, this area will pwn you. That boss monk group is ridiculous. But with enchant removal or caster hate, this area isn't a problem.
But yea the normal triple necro build everyone loves definitely isn't the best option for this zone. I think i rolled with talkora prot hybrid, gwen and norgu as complete caster hate and rolled this zone.

rolled this with guildies, I was BHA ranger, we had necro, ele, warrior, derv, and one monk - all human players...not entirely sure on what all of their bars were as but nec was not MM...there were a couple of tough goat-boy healer groups, one in particular had 4 shiverpeak protectors - but they were a bit stray from the mob so not too much damage from them but we had to pick a target to spike...overall 2 party wipes and we used 1 grail of might at some point, but can't remember exactly...not too hard, but a couple of annoying spots. I that same monk boss (jolo lightlaunch) spawns in Anvil Rock, too, which I found out the hard way the next day with H/H...last group in vanq at the top of that hill, jolo and 2 protectors, 2 warriors, and longbow...a couple of wipes later and had to quit to get back to work ....LFG Anvil Rock vanq (LOL)

The ONLY way i was able to do it (some mobs even have 3 shiverpeak protectors) was Sniper Support mentioned above. This area is one of Anet's balance screwups. Getting down 3 Aura of Faith spammers seems to be nearly impossible.

This is the area that stopped my vanquishing frenzy about 4 months ago. Got really into it, flying through areas then was halted by a group with tonnes of healers. I know all I need to do is load up on caster hate, but its haaaaard.
Maybe I'll give it another go soon. I'll use the advice given on this page.

Hey , o noticed your post, i also run a ranger, and i susessfully vanquished this area, i know the 4 protector groups can be overwelming, i just recently helped kupp the tread starter a little while ago, i took 2 jagged bones, i healer, 2 mesmers(energy surge and power block builds), i healers boon monk, the other party, and myself, i ran this build: im the strongest, barrage, distracting shot, ebon assasasin support, pain inverter, lighting reflexes, troll ungent, rebirth, and i rolled the area, with out any major problems, i usally play in the evening 4:30 pm Eastern standard time(virginia), i be more thaan glad to give you a hand, if im on, and you would like help, last run i was with the tread starter kupp, took us a little over an hour, cause we spent like 15 - 20 minutes trying to find the last group which was a patrol.

I have had a few PPL pm in game asking for how to vanquish this area, here goes, i play ranger and i run my own personal build, which is not important for this, but you need at : 1 good Minion master(jagged bones prefered), i bring 2 mesmers i hero mesmer with standard power block or energy surge builds(look at wiki), and the henchie mesmer, either mesmer can be substituded for a Bha ranger, but not both, 1 hero monk, i use healer boon build(wiki), and the 2 ele henchies thats preety much it, make sure you got a good long bow, and pull carefully, alow time for heroes and henchies to regen health and energy, good luck, and if you cant still cant get it, then give me a holler in game, if im avaliable, i come help you out, igame name : Gwendolyn Star.

Ugghhh I just finished that area a few days ago the 2,3,4, protector groups and the one with the monk boss healer groups were a royal pain. Then going over the map multiple times looking for the patrolling centaurs (2 patrols in my case) was awful. Though nothing compared to trying to do majestys rest. I get splatted on that center island (with rotscales and bone dragons) all the time finally gave up. Have to come back to that one. The Anvil rock one was a pain too looking for that last group of patrolling minatuars, went over the map several times.

I finished that area today with hammer warrior, Corrupt Enchantment necro (with heavy ench removals), Interrupt mesmer and the usual henchies healers and an ele. It was a pain just with the group with the healer boss and the two protectors around him. But this time I was targeting the warriors and they fell down easily.

I've tried this zone several times with 6 in H/H group with no luck, so I wandered over from from TOA with a H/H party of 8. I brought the Discordway build with one necro setup as enchant remover/interrupt. I also equipped another necro with Well of Profane (worked marginally). I found saving all the double, triple and quadruple protector groups until the end was helpful. Coming in thru the Griffon portal and heading NW and then going in a figure 8 pattern helped. This allowed me to pickup all the boss morale boosts, which came in quite handy. I did have to go back to the Griffon portal to get the Vanquish to appear (weird how that works).

I took a caravan over from ToA to vanquish Deldrimor bowl last night. I'm not sure the builds I used were as good as they could be but they didn't fail me in the end. Still, some coordinated spikes were required to take down the protectors where there were more than one in a group. I used the following:

Not sure if this would be possible without Claude and Orion and therefore starting from Beacon's Perch; I did mainly choose them because they were the best out of what was available and I'm not sure how much difference they made. I am quite a fan of Dunham, but given I already had my own Mesmer on this occaision I feel adding Dunham wasn't warranted.

When I did my caravan vanquish from ToA through all the areas to Eastern Frontier (9 hours^^) there were two or three groups with many protectors giving me a little grief in Deldrimor's bowl.
Ran with discord-way (me as warrior) just kept switching targets until they started dying, not as challenging as Dreadnaught's Drift was.
