Spirit Bond on a hero Monk is pretty much asking for problems, and I'm not sure how efficiently the Ele will manage energy with Rodgorts' Invocation aswell.

I use this and it's proven to be very effective, all the skills get used properly with almost no micro needed:

Dunkoro

[glimmer of light][words of comfort][dwayna's kiss][signet of rejuvenation][dismiss condition][vigorous spirit][channeling][renew life]

Zhed

[air attunement][elemental attunement][chain lightning][lightning hammer][lightning orb][enervating charge][lightning javelin][resurrection signet]

I know dual attunement is generally a no-no, but it works well on Zhed because he can keep spamming 25e Lightning Hammer, non-stop.

2 heal/prot hybrids > 1 dedicated healer and 1 dedicated protter.
  • Hybrids means you can have 2 copies of [[Aegis] and other useful skills. 12/10/8 attribute splits give more benefit than 12/12. Is 4 more divine favor really going to make much difference (hint: no). Having a bunch of +health skills (for the healer) is pointless, a few decent heals (see Tyla's bar) is enough, and allows slots for hex/condition removal.
Probably more reasons but I'm too lazy to remember them atm.

EDIT:When you only need one monk, a hybrid is fine; you won't need to choose between a full prot or full healer.

heh Mark of Rodgort thats the one ;p

Anyway that skill is a must in any fire build certainly a Heatbuild

for a monk u could try

[Skill] Smite Hex [/Skill] [skill] Smite Condition [/skill] [skill] Reversal of Damage [/skill] [skill] Zealots fire [/skill][skill] Castigation Signet [/skill] [skill] Ancestors rage [/skill] [skill] Splinter weapon [/skill] [skill] Smiters Boon [/skill]

This monk build + monk henchmen pretty much covers NM in most areas and use a Heat nuker with [skill] Mark of Rodgort [/skill] with zels fire it spams burning. Of course if ur using splinter wep/ancestral rage on your ele then u can swap em out on your monk for..... [skill] Rip Enchantment [/skill] & [skill] Enfeebling blood [/skill] The build is only really for a dervish/warrior player but is very fun to use. Me and my friend ran the build posted above and the same but with the necro skills in Arbourstone. We cleared it in about 15minsish its a very fun effective build and works well with Mark of Rodgort I used somthing similar in Shards of Oor Hard mode worked like a charm with Ether reneawl ele spam smite

I try to avoid projectile spells that require a line of sight because heroes suck at determining LoS and they dont know how to walk around an obstacle when using a projectile attack.

If you are going for a smiting build for your monk, this is what I used in Shards:

    [build prof=Mo/Me ins=10 smi=11 div=10][Mantra of Inscriptions][Signet of Judgment][Reversal of Damage][Bane Signet][Castigation Signet][Smite Hex][Smite Condition][Rebirth][/build]

    Disable Rebirth.

If you're going pure healer then most of the time, save HB you're going to be running a lot more heals than you will need.

8 divine I personally prefer 12 Heal, 10 Prot, 8 Divine considering heroes are quite pathetic at protting, unless there's a breakpoint at 12 worth hitting. I don't really use Monk heroes but I know that bar is quite efficient.

I think before I answer the question, I need to read some assumptions into your question.
    - You ask for builds for Dunkoro and Zhed which means you do not have access to all the heroes and skills yet.
    - You are going to use these heroes in a 1+7 (1 person and 7 hero/hench) team in normal campaign mode.

If the above are true I suggest:
    - Use the 2 hench healers, 1 healer like Mhenlo and a protector like Kihm. At that stage in the campaign you normally do not have access to the skills that make decent builds for hero healers.
    - Use your hero spots for damage dealing. Since you are a Wammo configure your heroes to be ranged attackers, and don't use Koss in your team. Use something like 2 ele and 1 ranger config.
    - Configure Zhed with some spike damage skills from Fire or Air, and some decent e-management as you will want him to keep the pressure going on the mobs.

    Lastly get Olias.

Ok, here's the builds I use on my ele/monk heroes when I actually do use them:

    [build prof=Mo/E divine=9+1 prot=9+1 Heal=12+1+1][WoH][Patient Spirit][Dismiss Condition][Shield of Absorption][Aegis][Cure Hex][Glyph of Lesser Energy][Divine Spirit][/build]

    ^pretty bloody standard.

    [build prof=Mo/E divine=10+1 heal=8+1 prot=12+1+1][Aura of Faith][Gift of Health][Divine Healing][Shield of Absorption][Aegis][Deny Hexes][Glyph of Lesser Energy][Divine Spirit][/build]

^one I've been working with, I kinda like it.

    For Zhed:

    [build prof=E/Rt fire=12+1 Energy=12+1+2][Rodgort's Invocation][Immolate][Glowing Gaze][Teinai's Heat][Fire Attunement][Aura of Restoration][Ether Renewal][Death Pact Signet][/build]

    [build prof=E/Rt fire=12+1+1 Energy=12+1][Savannah Heat][Teinai's Heat][Searing Heat][Liquid Flame][Glowing Gaze][Glyph of Lesser Energy][Fire Attunement][Death Pact Signet][/build]

    OR

    try nuking with Dunk:
    [build prof=Mo/E Smite=12+1+1 Divine=12+1][Ray of Judgment][Reversal of Damage][Smite Condition][Smite Hex][Divine Healing][Smiter's Boon][Castigation Signet][Glyph of Lesser Energy][/build]

    and protting/smiting with Zhed:
    [build prof=E/Mo smiting=11 prot=6 Energy=12+1+2][Draw Condition][Smite hex][Mending Touch][protective spirit][Zealot's Fire][Aura of Restoration][Ether Renewal][Strength of Honor][/build]

I've tried using [Divine Spirit] in monk hero builds, but they don't seem to use it well, so I no longer bother. GoLE seems to be enough for them, anyway, and they rarely have energy problems with that.

Condition removal is either a waste in PvE, the effect is strong enough for usage depending on the area or it has to be insanely powerful condition removal. Otherwise, you're wasting a skill slot. Same said about hex removal - Signet of Rejuvenation is much better, and Divine Spirit is horrible unless you've got some heavy recharge modifyer.

^one I've been working with, I kinda like it. Lack of Dismiss - the conditional heal is actually worth it when you're using Aura of Faith.

    Quote: For Zhed:

[build prof=E/Rt fire=12+1 Energy=12+1+2][Rodgort's Invocation][Immolate][Glowing Gaze][Teinai's Heat][Fire Attunement][Aura of Restoration][Ether Renewal][Death Pact Signet][/build] Horrible. No utility, you've got Glowing Gaze, Ether Renewal AND Fire Attunement which is more than enough for just Rodgorts, Immolate and Teinai's and Aura of Restoration is bad unless you're running Infuse Health on an ER Prot.

[build prof=E/Rt fire=12+1+1 Energy=12+1][Savannah Heat][Teinai's Heat][Searing Heat][Liquid Flame][Glowing Gaze][Glyph of Lesser Energy][Fire Attunement][Death Pact Signet][/build] Again, too much energy management, too little utility. If you're an Elementalist, at least bring some single form of usable utility, a ward or Splinter Weapon, all sorts of shit could be used.

    Tyla:
On the WoH: I only really use this build when its in a 4 man area and there's no off-monk condition/hex removal (eg, FF and convert hexes on the MM), hence my use of Dismiss and Cure.
As for divine spirit, he uses it at the start of battles, it lasts 12s, which is admittedly not very long at all, but battles don't tend to last too much longer than that and I'd rather have that in there rather than another heal or prot as heroes are stupid and keeping it to as few active spells as possible helps to keep him efficient (WoH as spike heal, SoA as prot, Patient as pseudo prot/heal, aegis as passive defense, condition/hex removal).

The AoF build is experimental, and, unlike the WoH, I use him in conjunction with another hero with condition removal (as mentioned, FF on the MM), so I don't tend to go for Dismiss - not worth it JUST for the heal.

On the ether renewal dude, yes, I admit now its more than a little sketchy, it was an attempt to use ER for a nuker (which I don't usually do) but I was on an ER binge and went a bit mad... :P

On the SH, I tend to make my hero builds as fool proof as possible in terms of energy management hence the use of GG, attunement and GolE. Yeah, I could've slipped splinter in there, sure - sub GG for it.

On the Smite/Prot. I much prefer Prot spirit over Spirit bond as its a bit more effective at a lower investment, and heroes use it more effectively.
Draw/Mendtouch are there as this is the build I use with my Assassin and it helps keep nasty conditions off my back, plus draw is particularly spam happy which is nice when combined with Zealot's Fire.
Using this with a +20% enchant weapon ER lasts 24s with a recharge of 30s, theres not a whole lot of damage he can do in 6s especially seeing as his energy storage is at 15 so his pool is rather large.
Aura is just used as a throw away enchant to fuel ER, use another or don't use it at all, dont mind!
As for infuse, I've just never liked that skill on a hero. Nuff said really I'm sure its great on an ER hero but I'm not willing to invest in healing prayers for it. For a Heal/Prot ER hybrid I would.
