Quick Wintersday question

Just wondering when they're going to decorate the towns for Wintersday, or when they usually do. I'm asking because I have to make a video for a Christmas video competition due the 20th and if the towns aren't even decorated yet then...yeah. Plus I'm leaving for Canada that same day and won't have access to my video making equipment unless I'm lucky enough to download a trial version of a program and email the files to myself. But that won't make the contest deadline. So...yeah. Thanks!

I don't know any more about when the decorations will appear than you, but --
Last year the update that added the decorations went live on Dec. 20th, the Thursday before Christmas. If ArenaNet continues that then the decorations should be in an update on Dec. 18th 2008, which is the Thursday before Christmas for this year.
It is very unlikely that they wouldn't go up until the weekend, as ArenaNet has almost always done updates during the week.

Usually updates involving celebrations are done one week before the actual event. Like Thanksgiving was done the previous Friday.

I was told it would be the 20th, but I hope Darcy is right.
Also, Tender Wolf. I assume the video is for the YaRR competition. If that is the case, the deadline got pushed back to the 24th.

Thanks for the replies everyone! I do hope it's the 18th and not the 20th, that'll work fine. The 18th is my last day of school, I get the 19th off, and then the 20th I leave until January 10th. Azazel, you are correct! The video will be for that competition. I was going to make one anyway but I wanted to be able to enter in the contest as well. Yay!

The 20th? Oh man, I was hoping it was gonna be this weekend, everyone here irl have there Christmas trees up lol, ah well, guess the GW's Xmas trees get put up at the last minute, bah humbug
