Alright, so I go to death level a polar bear. I go afk and come back an hour or so later and it's level 20. So I use Charm Animal and it says I have no energy. Is this a joke that anet made or some thing?

Probably a glitch caused by the recent updates, they will eventually fix it though that's no help to you at the moment.


If it stays and means the end of death levelling I for one wont lose any sleep over it

this glitch has been around for a while. dc yourself and reconnect, it'll show you as exhausted out. wait 2 hours without dying and your energy will come back :P. i submitted a bug report ages ago, but... mhhh.

Either it is a bug or some problem with energy management. You will get a -60% on your energy. So if a warriors basic is 20, then it'll be 8, while Charm Animal requires 10.

And if you look closely, it clearly shows he has 26 energy but when pinged it shows 0 energy.
It's just a bug thats been around for a while.

Maybe, it's a bug where, instead of telling you you are targeting yourself, it is mistakenly saying you are out of energy.
