OK for a while now my system has been freezing up at random intervals. I will admit that GW is not the only game this happens too, but it is any of the Online mmorpgs that I play and only the mmorpgs. Any other software or game that I play that is not online is fine. At first I though it was just the game, then I decided I had enough and moved on to another game, same thing, then I decided to see if my tried and true GW would act the same. It does, although it never did before, I had taken a bit of a hiadis for a while and never had this issue before.
All of a sudden no warning, no error messages, nothing, the screen freezes, no HD activity, I have to reboot the system to free it up again, even the CTRL ALT DEL does nothing.
Any ideas folks???

Sounds like a motherboard driver issue, specifically network control driver. Uninstall and reinstall your motherboard driver set, and that should fix it right up.
Or, stop putting dry ice in your case if your system if freezing, LOL!

And if that doesn't work you can try using this: http://www.guru3d.com/category/driversweeper/
Once I upgraded to XP3 on this machine I got one full-freeze, no response from the system, never happened on XP2. If it happens again I'll try Driver Sweeper myself.

And, if that doesn't work, try using ForceCore to make GW run in only one core (if you have a multi-core cpu). You can also make sure your Windows is updated. I used to have this problem, but after a bunch of updates (to Vista), it stopped happening.
