I had been reading debates arguments etc on the Ritualist class as a whole, and what are the benefits to running a rit over another primary class X/Rt. One of my big reasons as others have noted is the Minor Runes I can use to get [skill]splinter weapon[/skill] up to 14 for 5 attacks. Well long story short I want to maximize splinter as much as I can, and I started thinking about spreading it on more people in the crowd. Then I slapped it on a pet... i know thats where I will lose most of you, but I was pretty amazed by the splatter effect the pet and myself alone had on a mob. I ran something like this:
Beast Mastery 9
Channeling 14 (not dropping this number)
Restoration 9
Spawning 4 (i think)
skills I was using
[skill]spirit light[/skill][skill]wielder's boon[/skill][skill]ancestor's rage[/skill][skill]splinter weapon[/skill][skill]nightmare weapon[/skill][skill]charm animal[/skill][skill]offering of spirit[/skill] then whatever you want to take.
Im the type of guy though that will splinter an ebon guard assassin, so if its out there...more then likely it has splinter on it. Sure charm animal takes up a valuable spot, im not going to disagree with you there, but it is an extra toon with splinter...someone with an extra 5 more attacks. Nightmare weapon, is what I use when I wand (which ends up to be quite a bit). I can have the taste of Spirit Strength all within my wand
