Updated Hardware causing problems..
Ckat
Just bought a new Graphics card; GeForceFX 5500, and another 512 RAM. Graphics have seen a good improvment and im chuffed with it.
Only problem is that as the camera moves some things are given a milky coating. The only way i can think to explain this is to say that it looks asif its trying to make things look far away that are, in reality, close to me. It could be part of a wall scape, plants or even my armor, anything!
Would post an example but the coating disappears in screens ><.
Any suggestions are much appreciated, Ty in advance.
My apologies if someone has already posted with the same problem.

I am using a NVidia GeForce FX video card and am having trouble seeing some terrain features.
There is a known issue with NVidia GeForce FX video cards (GPUs) and driver version 61.77 when the user has changed "Image Settings" to "High performance". Some of the problems include missing terrain. The solution is to change your video settings to "High quality". To do this, follow these instructions: On Windows XP:
Open Display Properties control panel
Click Settings tab
Click Advanced button
Click GeForce "Version" tab
Select Performance and Quality Settings in left window
In the Global Driver Settings window select Image Settings
Move the slider to the right to "High quality"
The video cards/GPUs that are affected by this problem are:
GeForce FX 5200
GeForce FX 5200 Ultra
GeForce FX 5500
GeForce FX 5700
GeForce FX 5700

In the Global Driver Settings window select Image Settings.
This is as far as i get as there is no 'Image Settings' in that window. I have a 'System Performance', 'Antialiasing Settings', 'Anisotropic Filter' and 'Vertical Sync'.
All bar System Performance are 'Application-Controlled' and System Performance is already on full quality.
Sorry to be a nuisance <spelling>.

i got a trial version several years ago that allowed unlimited trials except every 10 captures it asks if you wish to purchase or continue testing it.
it is a version about 3 behind the present but works fine

Also, holding {Alt} while pressing Print Screen will take a shot of the current active window only.

nVidia drivers are found on the nVidia website, specifically: http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp

Yes, the driver will appear and the nVidia "eye" in your system tray. (Near your computer's clock display in the start bar for those who don't know what a system tray is.) You should be able to right-click or double click (can't remember which) that icon to get a menu. From the menu there should be some sort of "options" or "settings" button. I'd be more specific, but I don't get the icon with my new videocard, even though it's a GeForce. Maybe I need the latest drivers myself.
For the one who wanted to know how to save a screenshot, pressing the "prtscn" key while in Guild Wars automatically saves the shot in the "screens" folder, found in the same directory as the game itself. Open "My Computer" or "Windows Explorer," (same thing, different name) go to your C drive>program files>guildwars>screens and all your screenshots will be there.
