Human and Charr. I'll have a play around on other races but they dont really interest me. Although i will probably be tempted into playing a Norn if they have decent Animal Forms (that boar one from the concept art looks fantastic)

I would imagine that when they expand it into Cantha with a big expansion, they might make the Tengu, Dredge and Canthan humans new playable thatd be sweet.
Then with Elona bring out the Centaurs, Elonians and (junudu?).

Human, for the HoM bonus stuff, assuming you really do need a human which sounds stupid.
Other than that, the sylvari sound good as well, don't care much for the asurans or the whole elementalist class, charr are just meh, norn are ugly imo. But anyone can only respond to this topic for sure when we have some actual info on how the races and classes will be like.

well obviously the charr and norn are gooing to be the big bad WAMMO type where everyone think they'll be extremly strong. I like to go with the oddball classes like monks and rits so i think ill choose Asuras and Sylvari at first.

I read somewhere that each race MIGHT (major emphasis on might) have something smiliar to a classes primary profession. Eaiser said each race MIGHT (one again emphasis on might) have a unique attribute only to that race.
So when/if those are made known I'll choose my race according to which 'skill' I like the best.
But I'm leaning towards Human and Sylvari. Sylvari cuz they're the 'new beings' but in the lore of GW2 it says that humans are on the brink of extinction. How can you not want to be a human after reading that?

Cute creature? Asura is "demon" in Hindu mythology, and Asuras in GW are at least partially modelled after them. There's nothing cute about it. IG in GW Asuras are powerful (magically) and power-seeking creatures with egoistic attitude, and similiar character traits. That's pretty much how asuras are in mythology.
So, while I understand someone likes them, I would still be curious to see how exactly are they cute, aside of ANet trying to advertise them as somewhat cute.
