Who are you going to play as in GW2?

Depends on a few things:
1. What professions are available for each race,
2. What each race looks like (GW2 versions)
3. How well my character name(s) work with the race in question (I can't see a Charr named "Chanti Beppu," for example)
4. Whether GW2 will ever actually exist
5. If I even buy GW2

I will have three characters:
"Necromancer" Charr
"Ritualist" Sylvari
"Ranger" Human
I put the professions in quotes because Anet said they will change the professions, so I will pick whatever is closest.
However, if each race has a different dialogue or availibility to certain quests (like how characters from different continents cannot do specific quests in GW1), I might make a Norn "Warrior" and an Asura "Mesmer" - if anything, to be event characters.
Same here. If they do decide to make Tengu playable, I'll be making a fourth character:
"Assassin" Tengu
No, nothing has been told about when something will be announced.
I hope. I don't know how long I can keep waiting. But D3 will be the main merchandising opponent for GW2 I bet.
Already been stated to be different professions. But I think the 6 core professions will stay - just slight twisted (and some skill ideas from the expansion professions - including Chronomancer - will be added to the core professions).
By the look of one of the Norn concept art for EN, I assume that they will be able to transform to a were<enter spirit name>. The concept showed werebear, werewolf, and werepig. I hope there is an elite form spell that transforms us into weremanpig. That would make me make a Norn.
Yes I can

Tengu, I'll be deeply dissapointed if this race isn't playable

Does anyone know when they will be posting some of the new professions that they created? They said that they will be re-doing some to fit races better and to add more flavor to the game.

hmm, on their site they say they are in the Alpha stage of testing (which has stated that for a while) so I can only guess that they will soon be ready to launch into beta stage... So they must be ready to post the new info soon....

I want to be a non hairy norn. Transform into a giant bear (perhaps be able to transform into a werewolf type monster too? sorry I love wolves lol). I hope we get to summon the aid of some animals or something similar to druid in d2.

Can anyone imagine a warrior asura???? That would be hilarious!

All of my race/profession combinations will obviously hinge on how the racial benefits play out. However, from my initial perspective, I suppose I will be making:
-a "Dervish" Sylvari
-a "Dervish" Asura
-a "Dervish" Charr
Assuming the game comes out, and if there is nothing resembling a dervish.... well, lets just say my HoM will probably go to a friend or someone who makes it worth my while
