So, there's been rumors that only Straight to the Heart will drop mini polar bears this year.
So I'm just wondering, are you farming Straight to the Heart of Strength of Snow for cc shards and possibly a mini polar bear?

Don't believe everything you hear. The drop late is so incredibly low, tying any statistics to it, is impossible.
But the mini polar bear drops from the Wintersday Chest, regardless of which quest you do.
And for me, yes whenever I have time to spare and got nothing better to do, I'm doing those quests in the hope of a polar bear. I do mostly Strength of Snow, but sometimes Straight to the Heart for a little variety.

Still, it reminded me why I won't be touching them ever again this event. I hate playing with pre-set bars. Not wiki-pre-set, but rather polymock-, wurms-, beetle-, ... event-pre-set bars.
Plus they are solo quests in a team game.
It's just a bunch of things I hate - rolled into one smelly package.
(The only exception to this is Killroy boxing - which I LOVE because of the funny writing.)

I am just doing all the EN quests on all my characters for the free tonics and summoning stones. Then I'll do the NF quests on some characters for the XP. Then I might farm Strength of Snow, since it's easier. Although, highly likely I will just do one then the other, to avoid district swapping.

Why wouldn't you farm Strength of Snow? It's much quicker than the other quest, easier too. 10 -15 CC shards for a 7 min run is not bad.

Because at first i believed in rumors that the mini polar bear doesn't appear in the chest for strength of snow. Apparently that was false.

None of them, I plan on doing them of personal, leisurely enjoyment or not at all. What I do plan on farming is stuff for sweet tooth/drunkard/party animal.

Straight to the Heart can be done in 8-9 minutes consistently. You can (and should) avoid the huge group of snowmen over the left bridge, and you can save a minute if you run past most of the circle of snowmen before the end boss.

They are both painfully easy. Heart will get you way more shards, strength will get you more chances to not get a mini bear.

I have been doing both The Strength of Snow and Straight to the Heart. Straight to the Heart is my favorite; nothing like having a big mob of grentchies bum rush snowmen

Because you can run through the quest, wait at the end and have the wintersday chest in about 6 min as opposed to about 10 min of fighting through the other quest.
You get less shards but more opportunities to open the chest and not get the bear.

How are people managing Strength in 6 mins?
The best I've managed is 9 mins usually 12-14 mins
And yes I'm running past everything right to the end then let the snowmen do the killing.

I know it's strength that some people say they can do in 6 mins I was asking how as the quickest I've done is 9 mins.

I'm farming strength of snow. By farming I mean taking ~2 minutes to run to freezie and ~8 minutes to browse guru/do other stuff while freezie and the snowmen kill the grentches.

Strength of Snow in 6 minutes strikes me as a slightly improbable time unless you have some kind of speed boost like a Birthday Cupcake. A more realistic time is probably about 8 minutes, +-30 seconds.
Straight to the Heart can be done in 10 minutes without breaking a sweat if you play really conservatively, and it takes you 8-9 if you do it as efficiently as possible.
Realistically speaking you shave time from the Straight from the Heart run like so:
These are the groups you take, in this order
1) Glimmering Snowman + Snowmen Group
2) Snowmen Group
3) 2 x Mischievous Snowman -> 3 x Grumpy Snowmen, 4x Impeccable Snowmen (Group 1, Line)), Impeccable Snowmen (Group 2, Semi-Circle)
4) 2 x Bustling Snowmen + 1x Industrious Snowmen -> Bustling Snowmen + Industrious Snowmen (corridor) -> 2 x Bustling Snowmen + 1 Industrious Snowman (against right wall) -> 2 x Roguish Snowmen
4a) You do not have to take the snowmen over the left bridge
5) Mischievous Snowmen + Playful Snowmen -> pick up reinforcements by moas -> Blessed Snowmen
6) 2x Blessed Snowmen (Door) -> pick up reinforcements by moas
7) 4 x Cordial Snowmen (in front of traps) -> Cordial Snowmen (beyond traps) -> Angry Snowman
8) Semi-Circle of Pious Snowmen (you can skip most of this part by hugging the left wall and killing 2-3 snowmen, saves you probably a minute)
9) Kill Freezie and his 4 x 3 Columns of Snowmen, engage them from the right with your reinforcements
