hey guys i had a long drive for the holidays and i came with some random spells and i wanted to know what everyone thought. be kind, they are just ideas


Fire Sheath- (15e/30r) for (5...15) secs you are immue to fire attacks. you take the form of fire, you move 25% faster and target touched foes are set on fire for (1..5) secs

Earth Sheath- (15e/30r) for (5...15) sec you are immune to earth attacks. you take the form of earth and you and adjeacent allies gain (+30...60) armor and create a moving ward against melee that causes adjecant foes to miss (25...50%) of the time.

Water Sheath- (15e/30r) for (5...15) sec you are immue to water attacks. you take the form of water, you gain a 25% chance to block attacks and target touched foes move 66% slower for (5...15) seconds.

Air Sheath- (15e/30r) for (5...15) sec you are immune to air attacked. you take the form of air and target touched foes are knocked down and suffer from weakness for (5...20) seconds.

these are just some random ideas and they probaly could be better. the whole idea behind these skills is actually taking the form of the element. maybe adding an animation that shows the char encased in fire or ice or earth. just let me know what you think.



p.s. i know the wording is really bad, i couldnt think how to phrase it better.

Wait, target touched characters, but you cast it on yourself? I don't get it. I think you mean something like.

Enchantment. For 5...15 you are immune to XXX attacks and move 25% faster/whatever. All nearby foes are set on fire for 1...5 seconds. Or foes attacking you.

It's really, really hard to understand if you want PBAoE around you, or something like Shield of Judgment...

needs some downsides - add some weaknesses to those immunities.

you might want to rename that one because it is pretty close to this elite skill

and if it is an enchantment, it cant also touch foes. Maybe you should change "target touched foes" to "nearby attacking foes"

If you look at the number of skills, the only campaign with a different number of skills for core professions it's prophecies.

Elementalists have 29. So, if extra skills were made so all professions have the same number, and it should be a round number, of course, only one skill would be left for Elementalists to keep the number of added skills as low as possible.

So, you better pick up only one of those. Although I still think Conjure Ebon would still be the way to go, hee hee.

[conjure frost][conjure lightning][conjure flame] ... no earth enchant? "Conjure Dust" or something like that plz.
[mind freeze][mind shock][mind burn][mind blast] and... wtf fire gets two and earth doesn't have one?

I'd like to see a Conjure' and a Mind' for earth before anything else. Complete the collection plz

Also IMO [[mind blast] should inflict chaos damage rather than fire and be in the E-Storage attribute line. Its effect is that of an energy management skill, which is different from the other three (which are primarily aggressive).

Actually, each attribute has a 'earn energy if enemy...', Mind Blast is an Elite version of that.

Since it does not cause exhaustion, the problem it's not the skill, it's the name. It's not a 'mind' spell like the rest.

I remember something proposed along these lines a LONG time ago. I didn't really like them then and I don't really like them now. Not to mention that Anet can't balance anything and that no new skills should be added to GW until they balance the ones that are already here.

Lol at Air Sheath...the rest of them are meh though. Interesting idea but I really don't like ele skills that are just duplicates of each other in each element(glowing gaze, glowing stone, etc., although those are pretty damn useful).
Besides why immune to those attacks? Say you run Fire Sheath, no one on opponent's team utilizes it. Uh, wtf? I say make the immunity into another ability, or remove it and decrease the energy cost/recharge.

Yea, this is why it would be nice for Mind Blast to be moved to Energy Storage so it can be used with any element.
