Forgive me if this is the wrong section. Only other section I saw close to the topic was Services.
I've been playing Guild Wars since year 1, I even got Factions. Of course when Nightfall rang in, I went to WoW because everyone I knew left for it. Don't blame me, both games are great.
I remember the good old Guild Wars days, where Powerleveling at Droks was a decent way to make some platinum. Where Gryffon runs brought in some good cash and helped me get my Elite armor in less than a week.
Now, onto the real topic. I, now wanting to play Guild Wars more, have about 100k in the storage (bought elite 75k armor for my level 9 toon out of fun/boredom). I don't really think that's enough, and I'm planning on leveling an assassin because I never tried it. Now, I'm an old school farmer. I still have my build build I used on Mountain Trolls outside Droks. But I have no idea where to go to farm now-a-days.
I need a farming spot, and possibly a new build- depends really. Note I only have Prophecies and Factions, though I didn't get that far into Factions (story seemed lame).
Any help out there for me?
TL;DR: I have no idea where to farm.
Farming?

Farming has changed drastically, so much so that even though I try to keep up with the game, the only thing I can tell you really used is the pera Shadow Form Assassin.
Things that have changed:
Loot Scaling- Now if you enter a zone and kill stuff without a group, you earn less items and such than a full group would. The loot is "scaled" to the party size.
Anti Farm Code-Not quite sure how to describe this, but when multiple foes die simotaneously, instead of getting a big pile of loot because all of them drop something, less loot is dropped. For example, when you could group mindblades in uw with the perma shadow form sin prior to its slight nerf, killing 20 mindblades at the same time was common, but you might get a couple drops and some ecto. Rare mats and stuff such as ecto is exempt from this.
Nerfs, Nerfs, Nerfs- Monsters now scatter when hit by aoes or take damage from things like Spiteful Spirit. This was in effect before factions release, but I feel the need to emphasize it, because anet made it even more sensitive at some point to combat over farming. For example, you will not be able to farm griffons for this reason. NOTE: They also put in a jade scarab nest and boss where alot of griffons used to be, putting the final nail in the coffin on this particular farm.
There are more, but these are all that come to mind at the moment. I dont know if you were around when soloing UW with Shield of Judgement was at its height, but anet put in necro monsters that strip enchants if you try something foolish. Soloing parts of UW is still doable, such as with the perma sin, but now they require more tact and finesse.
To be honest, your warrior is out of date. The best you could probably do is suit him up to farm obby shards by the bay in FoW. Granted I dont use my warrior for anything other than storage... Also, don't forget it is the holiday season, and farming singed gargoyle skulls/grawl necklaces/etc... is going to be profitable for another week and a half or so.

actually that is just a rumor. rate of kill in all reality has no effect over what drops...
Item drops are determined as the map loads. You could kill every enemy on the map all at the same time with the 10,000 armor ignoring super area of affect damage skill and the drops would be the same as if you killed them all one at a time.

I thought farming was nerfed, but damn. I didn't expect it to be this terrible.

@Op The wikis probably weren't around when you were active. I'd suggest that be your first stop to catch up on whats changed.
