Has anyone got an idea what the new hats will be? I do not see anything on wiki or GW.com yet about it. Has anyone dug around in the gw.dat yet? Or are we waiting on the art contest?

I would love to say I am excited about seeing what they are but they usually disappoint me. But meh, still should be interesting.

there already in dat file, just have to look and knwo what yoru looking for and where,
i have a thought what they are just hard to make them out and toolaxy to post pics, i did for last event and everynoe said i wasa lier
but i was right in the end,,

Does it really make any difference what the hat is? I mean, tonics have totally killed hats. I've seen so few people in towns wearing any of the previous wintersday hats and it seems like most are content with being grenchies, elfs, frosty's and various other tonic creatures which don't display hats.

Variety. Anyone can dress up as a tonic. Not everyone can put an event hat together with an armor combo and have it resemble something totally different. If those two hats are indeed this years' offerings, I'll be happy, because they both in my mind's eye are rather large. (Lion Mask-size). I hope that's accurate.

side note: please let us use tonics all at once, without zoning in between. It took me until today to use all my Halloween tonics!

Also, my main char became my derv since nf release. He has FoW, and when I try to take off my FoW headpiece for a festive one, I suddenly have a TUBE TOP (shoulderless).
So honestly, unless its something very creative or NOT A HAT AT ALL, i wont give a flying fuggut.
And lets remember anet screwing up the beautiful ice crown last year. Even with damage control on the post event changes to the crown, the mullet ruined it. They'd rather not set any expectations up this year. This seems to be their new style with gw2 and everything else, "If they don't expect anything, we can give them crap and it'll be OK at least."

Actually, you were half right. You got the Lupine Mask right, but the Zombie Faceprint, you posted something that had a knife and hand. Then later posted the Zombie going "idk what this is" While it was a Zombie hat, it was not what you thought it was. |
